    Update:

its been real slow going, Pulled a muscle in my back last week and it really hindered my progress.
good news is that I only have 3 small things to do before I'm done!

Front end is all buttoned up with the exception of the ABS sensors, big thanks to @Canoehead for coming by and helping with the torqueing of things and general lifting of stuff.

over the past 3 nights I've swapped out the factory rear shocks for some 5100's and added the Icon 3 leaf AAL ( with factory overload for that extra lift ). Wheels are back on, and the truck is off the jack stands! :bananadance:

I finished up at 12:30am, so I left the final torquing of stuff until today. I want to give it a good look in the daylight and make sure i'm not missing anything that I would kick myself for later.

one thing I do have to figure out is the e-brake bracket.
with keeping the factory overload, I had to cut off the front U shaped bracket thingy that's on the overload. Sadly this is where the E-brake bracket bolted into. Worst case I weld a little bracket back on the factory overload, best case I can bolt it onto the Icon's bracket thingy ( I know this makes no sense...... )

    so that's it.
torque all the things in the rear, and install the new ABS sensors and I should be back in business!!

    :bananadance::kona::jellydance::mudding:

Next order of business will be safety insp, and then ditching the 245 tires for some 285's.
I wanted to go skinny ( 255 ) but it seems they only come in Mud tires which is no good for me since I'm cheap and only want to run a winter rated All Terrain all year round.

Unless something drastic changes between now and when I buy tires, my next tire is going to be the Falken Wildpeak AT3W.

Maybe someday if I can stop adding onto my list of 'I need this now!' we can aim for triplets!
I still want the Cobra 75WXST (I think, same one Duncan has)

    the bus!
have the girl look at shipping them to you via the bus. I did this with some roof rack bike carries ( that came with the roof racks! ) and shipping was stupid cheap ( less then $20 if I remember right )
it takes a few days and you have to go to the bus depo to pick up, but its way better then getting reamed by other shipping companies!

I've got that radio! I like how its all in the handheld. I'll keep you in mind when i finally swap it out for the Uniden Bearcat that's been sitting on my shelf for way too long.
nothing wrong with it, but I think i'm leaning towards mounting my CB up on top of the dash. I'll snap a pic when I go out today to torque some stuff.

I watched a thread years ago where a guy had his 75 tucked into the centre console, pretty clean setup, myself, I want to try wiring it in and have it overhead where the sunglasses holder is, because, well, I don't put mine in there, may as well find a use for that space

    Count me in for quadruplets!

I got my CB from a guy who traded up to a 75, he said that was all he figured he would ever need. Also, I will have a spare antenna as soon as I figure out which one I am using.

Weathertech floor mats, CaliRaisedLED 30" bumper light bar, CaliRaisedLED Ditch Lights - yet to be installed, CaliRaisedLED 52" Light Bar - not sure if I'm going to install...
So I should mention that I would also buy bed stiffeners if someone were to make them ;) I like the idea of ones that don't restrict the opening of the truck bed too much but also have tie downs on them...

Looking to put a radio set up in the truck but have no idea what radio to get or where to install... I'm also starting to get worried about power in my truck. Once I install the light bars I have now plus the other lights I want to install I'm guessing I'm going to need to add a second battery and a terminal setup... Have been considering the bed relocate as I don't really want to add a bunch more weight to the front end seeing as I plan to put a steel bumper up there in the future as well... And then there's also onboard air lol, I want it all ;) so much money to be spent! ;)

I've got the little "box" of the 75 zip tied to the bottom of the seat, and the handheld is up on the radio. I have an aftermarket radio with a cheap doubble din fit kit ( a whopping $15 ) so I did not care/mind screwing the mount directly into the plastic.

if you were closer, i'd love to help you with your stereo install. IDK why but vehicle wiring never bothered me, and I like figuring it out and tucking everything away nice and neat.

BRB, Gonna snap a pic while i'm thinking about it

It is so frustrating off roading and not being able to communicate with others, I get the basic hand signals (), but to poke fun and joke with others at all would he nice

Thank you for the offer, I'm not ruling this one out either! I need to pull my own stereo and see if they dod it the old fashioned way by cutting the factory harness from the stock radio and splicing into that to plug it back into the dash, once I get my JBL unit I can do more Googling and research as to which harnesses I need to buy and how much/awg wire I'll need, I'm kinda stoked for it honestly

I sneaked the wire in between the body and the tail light.

tried to get a pick of the little "box" that the WX75 connects to under my seat, but its too dark / small and works perfectly. I zip tied it to the seat springs. Easy to get to, easy to remove if I had to.

the antenna wire is routed along the frame, and up through one of the body plugs under the drivers door. I used the 18' firewire cable that has a really flat connector on the antenna part, and has this nifty screw on / off adapter on the radio side that allows you to remove the "fat" end of the cable for easier routing through firewalls / plugs etc...

i'm slightly against cutting factory wiring, I'm an adapter kind of guy.
Soldered up this little guy to make it easier to go back to stock if I ever had to.

I used to have the compact Cobra, but it finally died on me. I replaced it with this nice little Uniden.

Was looking at the new sliders. They got ugly fast.

So, I gave the prep work some thought. Then I just brushed on some POR15. Should hold me over until spring. If it can dry at all in the cold!

    I completely missed this....
We did consider the bus, when she called, the bus line has been permanently shut down for the time being (COVID), Canada Post wanted $136 to ship it, thats insane! From NB!!!
Anyway, as it so happens, her cousin works in Peggy's Cove, 2 weeks on, one off, on his next rotation he's bringing them over with him, save everybody extra $$$, got a message back about a set of headlights I inquired about, I was kinda put out, the guy truly sounded like I had insulted him by asking if he'd ship them, very defensive, I had to reread what I wrote to make sure I wasn't typing in my sleep and sent something vulgar. Needless to say, I won't be buying them

On a side note, anyone have an old Prius, Camry, Corolla or Matrix that has a JBL unit in it that may not require their JBL amp? Asking for a friend.... yeah....

I can ask dad tomorrow, but to meeeee it sounds like something to do with the steering wheel? I can't think of any sensors on the rack that would sense steering angle
