i believe that if you want more on the throttle then first research about the tune versions available. you are AT?

not sure your experience with OV yet, but there were many versions available if you're in a '20 maybe your options are limited.

i have never seen a post mentioning they combined them well for driveability. OV is as on top of driveability as you can get. and this is a tough project to get right as you've seen. but if you wanna try it there's nothing stopping you. for me in the MT adding a PC even on the lowest setting would make my truck undrivable. my pedal is aggressive with OVT on 2.0 SFOB Prem 93 04B13 MT and is effectively maxed out, all in the tune.

i am at yes and i do in fact have a 20.. why does that make my options limited? im gonna stick with just ovtune. the one thing i didnt do tho is the premium gas tune. would that also make a noticeable difference?

i don't know your options myself, but if you're a '20 the final versions may not be all available yet. if not they will be on the way.

if you go for the higher octane tune & gas then yeah you'll notice the difference.

No, I'll never do OV Tune. Screw that and their ridiculous "off road use only" disclaimer.

    Lots--
I have this and it works great. I leave it set to the race setting mostly. And pedal response is quick. Not at all like before. This was much cheaper than the other options and everyone that has it from this site reviewed it 5 stars.

    I also have a 2020. Not even 2k miles

Is pedal commander worth it? Yes it is for me.
I waded through every discussion and review I could find before buying one. The opinion seems to lean towards not worth it on this forum. Particularly with the guys who really know their business with tuning these trucks. I went against the opinion on this site knowing it was a gamble. The thing that sealed the deal for me were the actual buyer reviews.
I dont have time or patience or interest for tuning. $350 (cdn) is right in my non essential toy budget. 10 min to install fits my available time. My only complaint with the truck is the lazy acceleration. The pedal commander fixed that feeling. The truck is way more enjoyable to drive now. Plain and simple.

I just installed the Chinese 9Drive on mine. Paid 70$ for it from Amazone.

First impression was wow. I installed it on my 2.7 manual, my truck is already slow due to lift/added weight.

After driving a few days: This is a great little device. It has made my truck rev faster through the gears, the throttle is right there when i need it, and no lag.
    Overall drivability is improved.

I would recommend this device for the price. I saw Ebay has some listed for $50 - $70.

I bought mine from eBay 55after tax.

I drive about 500miles and did couple test.

I have 265/70/17 tire and Trd air intake.
Trd CAI give my truck much better throttle responses.
P1 (sport mode) I’m getting 19 mpg on highway. It make truck feel much faster, easy get up to 80mph.

P3 (race mode) its faster but jerk the trams too much.

Eco mode is ok with throttle responses not delay. But you have to step on the gas to raise the RPM.

I did low speed change modes it works, but I think is not recommend.

Next test I’m going to unplug the usbto seen if the truck still run with thecontroller.

    Nice!
That was my biggest complaint as well.

I was thinking to go your route, but decided to try the tune. Im glad i did. Not only it fixed the dead throttle pedal, it added power throughout the rpm range. You can feel it especially in the low rpm range, worth every penny IMO. I only paid about 500$ can for everything. I didnt buy the whole tune pack, just bought a couple of tunes from a very helpful gentleman on TW. I get the same gas mileage i got in the summer and i feel like the truck has about 20% more power.

Sounds like a great deal! It is nice finally having a responsive pedal in a Toyota. I dont think it matters how you get it done, but it definitely needs to be done.

500 bucks is great deal, I pay almost 400for the Trd CAI, it give responsive pedal. It can’t beat the tune setup. Maybe after my warranty expire I would do the tune.

I have the "poor man's TRD intake" which cost me about 180$ in total. Same result as an actual TRD intake, sounds amazing and a bit better throttle response.

Why wait till your warranty expires? The dealer cannot detect the tune, its impossible. When they plug in, it will show your ECU ID. The only thing they can tell is when was the last time values were reset, which happens every time you disconnect your battery. I would not worry about it at all man.

Just the 09 so take my opinion for what it is I guess. Works good on the 2nd gen automatic.
