Yep, that was a tip by @tonered.
I have a flash drive dedicated to these update files now. Usually when I finish tuning someone and we're standing around while the truck is idling, I'll offer up the thumb drive. It contains all the files and the headunit just pulls what it needs. Toyota does some things right.

    Indeed...credit to Tonered....

I rebuild older boats and photograph the entire process from cradle to grave. When I hand it back over to the owner, I too forward a USB with most all of the photos I took. Makes for a good resale feature when someone asks about the underfloor, etc. It's all right there.

Has anyone done this update who also has a Start-X remote start installed? Ever since doing this update earlier this week my remote start has stopped working. Going to try and reprogram the remote start later this morning. Will report back after with updates.

You made some incorrect choice? The Model ID is not the same.

Load all the available .kwi files onto the USB and the head unit will find the file it needs. The other files will not present a problem.

I'd venture to say, you are up to date. Look in the area on the unit where records are stored (not yet that familiar with the specific buttons). Maybe that is what your photo is. The up-to-date flash version will be there IF it took an update. If not, I say your good to go.

In your photo, under the NEW column, there is a dash. I suspect that is the fact that the current version is up-to-date and no new flash version has been accepted.

I say all of this with reference to the non-JBL premium unit in my tiny truck.

Ah, you have a 2020. The T-SB did not cover the 2020 MY. @mattleg found an update file that he pointed out in this post here. His head unit was already up to date as well.

Update on my prior post (for anyone else running the Start-X remote start): I unplugged and re-programmed the Start-X remote start unit and it now works perfectly again. Hope this helps anyone else who comes across this. Thank you OP for the software update! TBH I haven't noticed much of a difference with anything, other than maybe the screen does look "a little crisper" as someone else posted before. Cheers.

Worked with no problem. Thank you, only wish Toyota could keep us up to date in a timely matter.

I see changes now. So any tips on telling which 16-18 audio I have? I know its non jbl is all. Or can I download files for audio base and audio plus and plug into truck and It will pull?
Edit: ignore that Its been a long day I got it.

Ran this on mine last night and just did my Wife's '16 Sienna... It added a sweet feature that uses the front mic to pump the driver talking to the back of the van! That's awesome!

Just throw all the files onto your thumb drive and follow the rest of the update instructions.

THAK YOU FOR THIS! Mine has been rebooting last couple of days and figured there was an update and I would have to go to the stealer. Downloaded and installed, worked perfectly. This is the same I did with the last update in 2019...................TW is the best.
