I didn't do the double sear. Just used the grill. I think I had it a tad too hot. But they tasted great.

Wanting to go up to big bear this weekend and explore, anyone been up there recently?

 

Take chains and all recovery gear.
Wasn't there, but idyllwild on the 19th.
That ice sheet going up hill posed a big problem. The one time I didn't take everything

There is plenty of stuff 2wd capable in big bear, just not sure on winter conditions on the back roads. Idyllwild, bee canyon is clear.
Black mountain loop is where that ice sheet was. It's a loop, going down was easy, getting back up took a few attempts.
I would stick to lower elevations, maybe pilot rock or the bee canyon area.

 

I was at big bear 31st to the 3rd, main roads are open and clear no ice but wouldn’t go wheeling you’ll get stuck. I made it all the way to the house we rented and got stuck in front and couldn’t go into driveway lol had to put on chains for 50 ft

Yup... I don't see a problem.. last one was a day run. This new one is a night run.

 

I really gotta get out there and meet some of you folks.

 

How was it?! You must of gone right?

 

It was ok. Had some fun, met some people, got stuck, damaged the truck. Only thing that would have made it perfect, would've been camping for the night.
