You're also running metallics so you're starting at the loudest possible option. :D

My hope is that I'm transitioning to the quietest. :fingerscrossed:. Also, the company I got them from is in Utah.

i havent heard too much about ceramic pads, but i thought metallic was louder than organics, but metallic lasts longer. would ceramic be between the two or quieter and shorter lived than organic?

    not enough.
I'm running semi metallic right now. Can't complain. even for the "noise". Which I haven't even noticed. They only get really loud when it's a little wet out. Definitely better heat dissipation for my riding so I like my semi metallics.

Fun times today with the buddies.

Ordered a bike yoke for the specialized enduro and will be swapping in a coil. Should be fun.

We had our annual New Year's Day Ride last Friday. Warm temps and good people. Afterwards, I did some fire prep and got a fire going for us to enjoy.

Got the notice from TNT/FedEx! Frame should be here the 12th! :bananadance:

Now we play the trash freight carrier game:
Which will arrive first? FedEx from Scotland shipped today or USPS from Tennessee shipped 2 days ago. Same estimated delivery date.

Anyone have a creative solution to store your bike in your truck bed using the least amount of space possible?

Planning on a 3ish month road trip this summer with lots of MTBing involved, and I want to avoid a rack for the bike if possible.

I've had good luck with FedEx. :notsure:

Postal service will either be 2 days early, or 2 weeks late.

Mostly Stock for now, 265 75 16 Falken AT3W, Tinted fronts...
FedEx, I just canceled a package on Monday carried by USPS that I ordered on 12/12 without getting a tracking number or any other info. Then it got delivered on Tuesday....
This is my setup, I can carry my gravel bike and trek stache. They are both shorter than most other mountain bikes but if you have a long bed it shouldnt be an issue.

Latch It Rack is an OK solution to maximize bed storage while safely carrying bikes. Gains you about 1.5' bed space vs normal bed mat

Great idea but those bikes look like they hang lower to the ground with the way the tailgate extension swings back. I’d be afraid of the front bike tires hitting the ground when going through a dip.

Yep, long bed. I'll see how tight I can get it to the side with the bars sideways. Thanks!

Should've mentioned I have a GFC and want it completely in the bed.

I had one of the original 4-Runners years ago [1988] with the removable top. Which is basically a short bed truck. I used to fold down the seats and haul the bike like how yours is. I mounted a fork mount on a 1X8 and cut it the width of the bed. It wedged in there and was easily taken in or out without being hardware mounted to the vehicle. The bike fit snug and I just ran a bungee cord around the frame to the factory roll bar to keep it from tipping, worked great. This was back in the world of 26” wheel mountain bikes. The bikes are longer now so it would be a challenge to fit a modern MTB like that these days.
