    This year is already proving to be pretty lousy, for numerous reasons...

    In keeping up with the "Aspergers" part of this thread, here's a post about Aspergers and dealing with the current COVID-related restrictions...

    Like EVERYBODY, I'm fed up with the current situation (and being pissed about COVID is certainly not exclusively an Aspergers thing), but I've got enough beer, model car kits, and video games to get me through it! I've also got a lovable 4-legged furry dingus named Porter, without whom I certainly would have lost my sanity months ago!

    That said, my best friend Mike (also an Aspie) got cabin fever and tried to get me to go to a restaurant with him a couple months ago; This was after the uptick in cases, so I politely refused. He invited another mutual friend (also with AS) and they went instead. Keep in mind that Mike is prepared just like me; He has a driver's license and his own vehicle, he has steady employment (at least he does now; Keep reading), and he has plenty of video games and beer stocked up at home to keep him entertained for MONTHS. However, Mike was out of work due to COVID for a lot longer than I was; He worked as a groundskeeper at a middle school for years, and finally ended up taking a job at a grocery store a few months ago so he didn't start eating into his savings. Now, he's gotten the school job back and he's decided to just work both jobs so he make extra money (ain't nothin' wrong with making extra money!).

    Three Aspies and a Taco! From left to right; Me, Mike, and my other friend Ben...

    Ben worked at this movie theater prior to the outbreak, and the aforementioned event during the summer was hosted by him; He invited me, but it was right when cases started to ramp up so I declined...

    As stated above, Ben worked at the Water Tower Cinema; I believe he is still employed there, but he had to find a new job to keep making money during the pandemic.

    And there's my other Aspie friend, Doug; He has a summer job in the culinary program at Bucks County Community College, working with young aspiring chefs. He LOVES that job, and he was utterly devastated when all in-person classes at Bucks were inevitably closed. The Peace Fair where he sells his baked goods every September was also cancelled, two months in advance! He was more pissed about that news than I was when I thought all Carlisle events were going to be cancelled in 2020!

    Okay, so good news; I just got off the phone with my uncle in Myrtle Beach and he is going to make me spare set of custom wheel skins!

    Amazing what one can do with a simple Sharpie marker!

    That’s not a badge; That’s my license plate frame...

    I want the “Plasti-Dip and then buy the real thing” route back in 2018!

    Oh ok, l can see better now. I was standing in line in the store and glanced at it on the phone. I like how the black badges look on the trucks, don't care for the chrome stuff.

    On the 3rd Gen there is a weird groove in the bumper at the very bottom where your frame says Tacoma. Unfortunately a regular frame cannot fit around the plate and down into that groove. I managed to find a super thin aluminum frame that fit but it was pink and white so a wet sanded it and painted it black.

    The grocery store doesn’t have the normal Sargento string cheese, only the the “light” crap that doesn’t taste good!

    Not 59 cents like that one time in December, but still pretty good!

    When the pandemic first started, there were a few gas stations in my area selling 87 for less than $2 per gallon...

    @shakerhood

    Going over to my boss’s house tomorrow to help him pull his ‘67 Mustang out of the garage! Gonna use his Escalade instead of the Tacoma for obvious reasons...
