    As the title suggests, I am looking for the dimensions of the tail light bolts on my truck. I have a 2012 PreRunner TRD Sport with the LED tail lights. I was just getting off work this morning and backed into a boat trailer. It busted my driver tail light. I went to remove it to see what I would need to repair it and wound up snapping the bolt heads off. Suffice it to say I need to replace the bolts and figure out how to remove the remaining bits of the bolt. I ordered a replacement already that will be here Saturday. So what are the exact bolt sizes so I can get replacements. I know the top size is 10mm but not the thead spacing or length.

    Please respond ASAP.

    Thank You
    Sam

    Can you share a picture of the bolt you snapped? Reason I ask is there's 3 bolts in the area but only 2 are for the tail light. The third is for the bedside.

    The bolts thread directly into the tail light, just on a little tab, so I think it'd be very hard to snap off a bolt in there.

    I'm currently digging around to try and find you the size.

    I will get pictures as soon as I get a break at work.

    So, not 10mm? That is what I used. Wonder if that is why I snapped the bolts.

    10 mm is the size socket you use to unbolt it. 6mm is the diameter of the bolt itself

    @EatSleepTacos

    Thanks for that, if there were Rep points on here I'd give you some. But for now, a like will have to do.

    Thanks brother. As far as that 3rd bolt, the one that's not in the tail light, I would just drill it out and then use a nut and bolt there. With the tail light out you can access the backside. You could try a broken bolt removal tool but I've never had good luck with them.

    @EatSleepTacos ftw!

    my plastic tabs broke as the screws are seized so now I have screws stuck in the hole I need to cut off, so finding the screw size was clutch!

    Is that the same size bolt for the two rusted ones in the pic?
