since we have certifiable experts as well as simple OCD maintenance whores on this thread (you know who you are)...

What are your thoughts on the SAIS filter deterioration concerns? Are you replacing it regularly? I can't find mention of it in the Maintenance schedule.

This UNI Mod idea seems silly to me. If you know there's a risk of the filter breaking down and being sucked in, replace it occasionally. The idea that you'd replace the UNI filter annually at $15 when the little foam insert could just a simply be replaced annually for very little green (if you can find the part number) seems odd.

    Am I missing something?

The people doing the UNI filter mod are just paying a premium for convenience of fewer replacements and easy visual inspection IMO

They make a SAIS delete kit, I wonder why you wouldn't just do that to avoid any issue at all?

@Tacoma Mike I pulled the codes setting my check engine light off... quite the list. Seems mostly evap/emissions related. (Shocking) I'm all ears for places to start looking to try and clear some of them up.

    get a new truck..

Is there a canister even in the truck?

if there is you need do, some onboard active tests and see if you have voltage to
    The activated pieces.
    If you do ,.

Then you need a new canister, pump, filter, vsv valve, to start.
You have at AF and 02 codes.
You have cats on this thing?
    leaky injectors?
Plus a TPS Correlation code I think.
    This thing is fucked up.

There is a Meijer and a Walmart within the same large shopping center.....about a mile apart. Just based on people watching alone....you would swear they were in different galaxies

How low does she sit? Is it possible the canister has been physically damaged?

No idea if it has cats or not, didn't end up getting to the inspection station to put it on the lift.

Edit: I did look at the limited live data my OBDII reader gives me, and it's saying my temps in the cat/post cat are 160 and 80 respectively while sitting warmed up. So I'd wager a guess that there's likely no cat, or if there is it's just for visual display and no real useful purpose.

Bring a pad and paper with you. Make notes on everything you see..
You need to get under that before you can get a plan together..
