There is a GB for singer alternators. I believe they run a slightly smaller pulley but I hear they are baller. Available in a bunch of sizes. I’ve considered a bigger alt as well.

Innnnnteresting. I see nothing that leads me to believe I need another alt, but I mean why not, everything else has been touched by me anyway.

Edit: just looked, I'd probably lean more towards OEM than these.

Did an electric fan conversion on my 1st Gen and had this exact thing happen to me. The fan sensors got finicky and didn’t kick the fan when it was supposed to. Final straw was when a component of the fan broke. I said screw it and converted back to the ‘ol reliable belt-driven fan. Peace of mind and reliability overruled the extra hp gains for me.

Makes sense. Part of this setup I liked was it uses an OEM fan setup. More so than HP I need the extra cooking.

Yah all depends what your doing. With the fan, all the solar and other stuff a bigger Alt is prob nice but the redarc and solar seem to work pretty damn good already

You should be fine. The 180 as you noted might be the right choice

I ran out of time and these are the only install pics I took. :(

All things good so far. Just daily driven, nothing Off-road yet. Right around 2k miles with it. Highest temp I've seen was 206. It's louder than stock but it's nice being one of the few 3rd gens w an electric fan.

All in all, I'm happy with it

I scrolled through here a couple weeks ago to figure out what happened. I think OP sold his truck, so I think progress on the kit stopped. If not I'd be glad to get my hands on one as well

    Lots to come
i am moving to a 4runner but still have my truck. kits are being built and shipped as fast as we can. my choke point became my wiring shop and the random unscheduled police cars that cam in for work over the holidays and covid issues.

    What's the price point at?

If you get the chance, could you update your OP with the some info on where the project is at now?

I have been away from home lately, so any progress on its install and my impressions are halted as well needless to say. I modified some of the wiring and added better layers of protection to it when received and modded the fan mounting tabs as well, as they interfered with the actual fan itself.

No report of progress or even results just yet, but when I do, I'll get back to you guys.
