per tank? I'm a nerd, I need numbers and stuff. Because 200 miles on a 21 gallon tank even accounting for the tire size difference is like 10 MPG

 

yup you are right 200 per tank maybe 210 but thats not common

 

As long as you are aware that your odometer is reading less miles than you're actually traveling. Compare it to the GPS and your phone.

If your app is calculating 13 MPG, you're actually getting 14.

And for every 5k miles you put on with those tires by the odometer, you've actually gone 5,350. Just sayin, it's not really chump change in the long run. Might want to consider it when you think about services and stuff.

Blabbering about the YJ more, this is why the actual mileage is somewhere nebulously north of 200K. Previous owner went to bigger tires without changing the speedometer gear.
