Hasn’t run in decades, so yes...

 

I kinda figured it might since you were gonna have to pull it out with the Escalade. Do you know anything about it, solid car?

 

Yeah, but it's got no power steering or power brakes, so that's being retrofitted; Also has front drum so boss is paying for a front drum conversion at a bare minimum. My boss also wants to put in A/C so he can drive it to shows in the summer, and he's getting a Bluetooth stereo; Car needs minimal bodywork and no paint, and engine just needs to have the fluids changed...

 

Wow, sounds like a great candidate for having fun with! Definitely gonna want some disc brakes for safety and l am sure adding power steering and AC wouldn't be overly difficult.

 

You think 4-wheel disc would be worth it? What about posi?

 

4 wheel disc is pretty damn nice, posi is nice too but it also depends on what the plans are with the car as to if it's needed.

 

Not intended to be a racecar; Gonna be a for-fun car that he plans on willing to his granddaughters...

 

He should be able to get away with no rear disc or posi then.

 

I think rear disc would make it safer though...

 

Yeah it definitely would make stopping more consistent, safety is always good.

 

And posi to keep it from getting stuck in the mud at car shows held in grassy field areas...

 

@PennSilverTaco When I did my rear disc brake conversion it came with a larger brake booster that was for a 1993 Cobra. It was meant to be installed on the assembly line before the engine, sometimes I look at it and wonder how I got it in there!

 

The other thing I want to do is put a backup camera in the car so it doesn't get backed into shit and banged up...

 

That sounds like a nice upgrade too!

 

But how to do it without cutting up the dash...?

 

Do they have any that put the screen in the rear view mirror?
