Has anyone else had this problem with their 2.37 steel pulley? The key way has wallowed out maybe .003 or .004. Created a “nice” rattle sound at idle. I have an aluminum 2.1 but if it did that to a steel pulley, aluminum wouldn’t last long at all.

 

Is the shaft the correct diameter?

 

Yes, it’s the pulley that’s been on it since 2003. Wonder why this would happen now? Too much belt tension perhaps?

Shit, im even happy with my 2rz and most people gripe on here about the 4 cyls. Maybe the MT just makes these trucks idk

 

The low end torque goes a long way, especially off road but that's where the Auto has it's advantage as well.

 

I haven't touched that yet, it's a 3.4L and still purrs like a kitten.

 

and the ability to ride the rpms above 3k where the engine is happy

Technically it should. At least non vvti.. not sure with vvti due to all the extra shit in the valley.

 

I don't care about the VVTI since I have a non-VVTI motor.
