I think I like the shine a little better, makes the color look richer. Both look really good

 

Both look great, but I think I'm leaning more towards the matte at the moment.

My preference would be the shiny version. Looks like a button that would be in a high end vehicle.

Man that black TRD on the far left is SHARP.
I really like the idea of the matte matching with the other OEM knobs (4wd and temp) as well.
You can expect to have my money when that hits the market.

 

Are you planning to Anodize the buttons, then engrave them?

 

Yes that's the plan, in the matte finish its hard to see the design if it is not machined after anodize, on the gloss the design is still very visible but unless people want it like that the plan is to anodize before engraving.

 

Cool! I am just thinking since the light will only be illuminating out of the 3 holes, if it is engraved after anodizing, the raw aluminum will show the design better with minimal light.

 

Is the red one in this picture matte or shiny?

 

We already have a large batch of buttons that just need the final engraving, and the site needs to be updated with better pictures and info. Since this is the first batch I want to get a good sense of what design and finish people like best so we can make enough of that specific style soooo...
