What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Got the TRD pro grill and color matched the chrome

 

The one from CaliRaised. It came with the wiring harness and mounting brackets. It's pretty easy to install, but you have to remove the grill tondo so. I really like it and it's very bright.

 

T-slot nuts are pretty abundant and relatively cheap. I just assumed he made them himself because he could (I would do the same if I had a mill).

I'd make them if people wanted them but considering you can readily purchase them online would make it pretty competitive. These were machined out of 6061.

GAHHHHH diff fluid had re leaked from the diff seal this morning after wiping it down. Maybe one new drop on the ground, new seal from ECGS ordered. looks like I'm ripping it apart again. after startup to take it to the shop for alignment the traction control light (only trac not ABS) came on and stayed on and wouldn't shut off. Which is weird cause I was careful with the ABS lines ensuring to loosen tabs on each side so the wires could extend just an inch without pulling tight. I love the input from this forum because I'm clearly not the first to have this issue and with great members I was able to find an entire thread related to this and how to reset VSC within 15 min of returning home.

From Tacomaholics (@boogie3478) ECGS install video, @EatSleepTacos coming up with input in literally every thread I found while doing research. I have never met or talked to either of you two but the amount of content and input you two have on this forum is insanely awesome and helped me a ton! Of all the vehicles I have ever owned this forum is one of the best I have been a member of.

That sucks about the leak. These seals are so damn finicky. Don’t replace with an aftermarket seal or you’ll be right back in there. A 2” pvc coupler is the perfect fit for driving the seal in.

Thats what I have been reading, I pulled a thread where someone listed out the direct part numbers. I have read the 2" coupler is the way to go. I am getting a taste of the "Cost of lift isn't just the cost of the parts its everything else that comes along with it" medicine.

 

Happiness is....... Now, if DeLuca Toyota would just call me telling me my frame is in to bring the parts up.

I've gone the same route, and can confirm the ease of install. One thing I would recommend though, because the bar is sitting a little back in the opening, would be to go with a Spot pattern. I don't think my Combo beam is being fully utilized.

 

I concur. I also have the combo bar, and although I think it does a good job at flood considering the design, it would be nice to see a side by side comparison of the combo bar vs the spot light bar.

Ok I'm having a problem now. I was driving in town today and my truck went into limp mode. The CEL and Trac Off lights came on and list power. I'm thinking it has something to do with the Unifilter mod but I don't see how it could be either. India everything exactly how it's supposed to be done. Maybe the wiring up of the relays? I've since put all that back to normal but can't get the lights to go out.

 

I see you have a pedal commander.. I heard people having issues with that particular brand

 

I never had a problem with that until yesterday after doing the Unifilter and fog light anytime mods. I'm wondering if moisture us getting up into the bottom of the Unifilter now due to where it is located.
