All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Now we are beating/eating a dead horse?!?!

I'm interested in buying a handgun. I've never bought one though so I'm still in the research and learning phase

Plenty of gun nuts in this thread. IMO, after my time in firearms sales and owning two Tauruses in my collection (a 1911 and stainless 357 mag), skip them and save up for a quality gun like Glock, S&W, etc.

In my quest to find an sba3 brace to finish a build I ended up with one extra. It's used. Black in color. $85 for the brace and buffer tube.
I'm in Lilburn and work in Decatur. Open to trades too.

I think everyone of us has owned a Taurus at one point or another. It took a while for me to learn the buy one cry once methodology for gun purchases.

I agree. I bought the 1911 as my second gun ever, so obviously before I knew better. A defective slide, barrel, and barrel links later, I learned my lesson.

The 357 was an impulse buy because it was so cheap when I had supplier pricing, and I figured it’s hard to mess up a stainless wheel gun. While it hasn’t really messed up any, there’s certainly a lot of obvious cut corners on it.

I'm a big fan of the M&P and own 3 of them. With an upgraded apex trigger I would not trade them for anything. I also have the .22 versions of them to save money on training.

Your firearm is an extension of your body. There is reason to Not pair yourself with a turd.

don't buy a pistol from a manufacturer that's mainly known for making shotguns. buy a pistol from a pistol manufacturer. Get a Glock 19, you won't be sorry. 15 round mag, and easy enough to conceal if that's your intention. They're easy to find parts for and mags are cheap and readily available.

The Sig P320 is a good option too, especially the x5 model, and in the same price point as a Glock.

Sigs have always had superior grip and hand position. Goes back to the old days of the Browning HighPower. They got it right and many were paying attention.

Sig p229 is one of the guns I have that I won't ever sell.

Sometimes you just need to build your pistols...

True that. I carry a Legion p220, I also like my Legion p226. Almost picked up another the other day in a smaller caliber and then the realist in me said...you don’t own that caliber so why start now.

I found a p220 carry elite model for $600 once at a gun show. I passed on it and regret it all the time.
