Did you decide on an AAL? I'm looking at the Deavers 3 leaf overload replacement to add to my OEM's. Doing research now...

A full leafpack is better than AAL. I ran a single AAL for a few years and it did fine for most stuff but I went to Deavers U402 recently and noticed a smoother offroad ride.

I went with a full leaf pack instead. Better and more solid..

Thanks everyone. In a similar dilemma and just getting opinions. JR747, what pack did you end up with?

Really depends on your use. Explain how you use your truck and we could point you in the right direction.

It's a long story but in a nutshell, I have topper and usual load of 200+ pounds and tow a trailer with my 18 TRD OR LB. Lots of sag (and rear drive shaft is off angle causing vibration at certain speeds (suspect..)) and want to bring back to stock height but keep good ride quality. Don't off road much and if I do I drive like an old man. and trying not to have to upgrade shocks at this time. Currently have a Firestone airbag on order to see if that helps. Just concerned that stock leafs are bent (according to dealer who inspected them) and will most likely end up replacing them at some point. Again, trying to keep stock height and ride so as to fit in the garage with rack, rod holder, etc.
    Sorry JayR747 to hijack...

The stock leafs definitely do sag with a constant load on them. If they are in fact bent, you can probably find a cheap set from someone who is upgrading their suspension. Browse offerup, buy/sell/trade section or fb marketplace. A ton of guys upgrade their suspension when its brand new and offload the stock stuff for cheap. I would add an AAL to that to help support the weight. A full leafpack would be better but much more expensive. After you put some miles on your truck and you notice your shocks starting to wear out, I would definitely look into swapping it with Bilstein 5100. It was a night and day difference when I did mine. Truck drove a lot smoother. You could even set it so you maintain stock ride height in the front with the correct coil.

Ended up with Deaver stage 2. Rated for 400-600 lbs.
Stage 3 rates at 700-1000lbs.. but I felt they were gonna be too stiff
