Really want the modulars but having a hard time justifying it with everything else that’s going on right now.

Last weekend I dusted off my city.

 

Stay strong and don’t give up.

 

Got my first Catalog for the first time since I was in middle school! (15 years or so) Ah nostalgia at its finest

I looked Jan 2nd and it was already on backorder. I’ll just wait six months to buy it now as what’s the rush? Sadly TLG can’t seem to learn how to launch and ship products properly.

 

Like when they put a set in a box with one section of a puffy air packet that does nothing to prevent every corner of the set from being mashed in?

 

That, or when they put one huge box and one tiny box into a huuuuuge box with one deflated air packet and the smaller item comes demolished. Or they send your Mickey and Minnie keychains in a bubble mailer unprotected and the paint chips off Mickeys nose Or when the sticker and instruction sheets inside the box resemble origami more than stickers and instructions.

 

I shot this video several days ago after I dusted off my city. I have a hand vacuum with a soft brush that I went over all of the modulars, track, etc., and did a decent job. I've tried to keep a small air cleaner, but legos just attract dust! During the winter months when I have more time is when I start messing with it again, and of course now have the modular police station to add.

I've previously shown some pictures of my city. I ended up putting two tables in a corner of my den and run train 9-volt train track around the tables. I have a lot of 9-volt track, so someday it would be nice to have a larger setup in a basement (next house!). The modulars including the roller coaster is setup over the back of the track. I also have a small water and beach area to the left with the Old Fishing Store. There is room there as well for two more modulars, which the Police Station will go in one of the spots.

I'm now also working from home so my den is become tighter, and I may take down the city for now and just put the modulars on a book case? I may also sell the roller coaster on eBay as it just takes up a lot of room. My one complaint about the roller coaster is that it uses small rubber bands that Lego didn't provide any extras, and they're not tight anymore so it doesn't run right (I do have the power option).

About the train, I have a lot more cars than what you'll see. I also put track in under the roller coaster for additional parking. I've built a few of the cars myself, and if I had more time in life, I'd like to build more custom cars. The three engines all of have 9-volt motors, and I have one new motor left in an original box as a back up!
