I only had .5mm of shoe left when I did my rear brakes at 100,000 kms. My drums and cylinders were fine... Mind you I didn't have all the shit in mine that you have, even though I used to spend a lot of time in Bobcaygeon silt...

Holy Fk you see the price of that shit?

Those things I listed at carquest are less than $150.

    o_O

Disc on the back sounds nice, but damn that price tag on those full conversion. :anonymous:

    yeah it's pricey as sin,
but that rear disk break joke aside

i probably should go and check mine when i rotate my tires in a 1000k or so.
i do a lot of downhill driving so i might have been burning them up since i'm at 84k on the OD.

Just spray your drums and shoes with WD40 - it’ll reduce friction and lower the wear :stirthepot:

Only 84K! You are not driving enough! Get out and drive to join 100K club:duel:

Nice catch, jokes aside put anti seize on the portion where brake shoes touching backing plate. It’ll help smoother movement.

I am on my 3rd set of shoes already, but my axle has something bent there, most likely axle shaft backing plate that needs to be pressed out. Everything else been replaced 2 times with new parts

I just roll with what’s left of rear brakes for now:anonymous:

Flat leaf pack will not make it feel like the floaty Cadillac I have now.

When I grab the rear shock shaft on passenger side, it wiggles. I dont think it should have side to side play. :anonymous:

I think I have toasted my shocks, but have not gotten there yet. Brakes more important atm

Fronts brakes are on deck tonight.

You must consider the time value of investing 20k today.

Wes could spend 3k instead of 20k, invest the other seventeen and in the future it would be idk say 23k in 5 years @ 7% annual.

    Oh i cee,
so with compound interest, modified interest and future interest, Invested above the prime interest and adjusted to negative inflation Wes could afford the aluminum flatbed at a lowered interest rate....Hmmmmmm, never thought about it that way, of course this would mean Wes has to do just one side of the brake shoes today to reap the benifits of tomarrow...:)

I'm just being stupid hear guys.... ok time to put down the computer...:)

or how about selling some naked SPY calls? he would be able to afford all the above today with no problem, surely no consequence could come of that :spending:

there are some mutual funds right now that vary to 12%. Higher risk obviously, but you got to pay to play, and ride the wave.
