I took my truck into the dealer today to have somethings done. I'm getting the suspension TSB done and I was trying to have them fix my clutch peddle. I told them about the clutch peddle squeaking but they couldn't make the noise and either could I when I picked it up. It seems to mostly occur when I first get in the truck after it's been sitting awhile.

I know there was a TSB for the squeaking clutch for 05-06, but is there an updated one to include later models (I have an '07)? Any help would be appreciated.

Had the same problem on my 07. Took it to the dealer and at first they said they couldn't duplicate. Had the Service manager come out and ride with me and he said....."Dude...that IS annoying".

Long story short...they installed a whole new clutch assembly. I think it was off the 2009. Evidently it is a drop in replacement and has new bushings/ springs, etc. Whatever they did....it worked. My clutch is silky smooth.

If they won't do it for you, I can look up the part numbers that they installed on mine if you would like. At least you could probably get them to install it if you bought it (or do it yourself).

my 07 does it intermittently. it did it a few times like 2 months ago, now it hasnt done it since. it seems to do it when there's high humidity and it hasn't been driven for a little bit of time. there was one time that it did it like a week straight..... the dealer was 1 1/2 hours away though so i wasnt gonna drive all the way there and let it quit doing it along the way. lol. next time it does it im gonna bring it in though.

When I bought my 05 from the previous owner, he said he had had the clutch pedal replaced b/c of the tsb. After having the truck for a couple of weeks, I started to notice the clutch pedal squeak. I then read the tsb and found out what it was all about. I'm not sure if it's the bushings or if it's something else, but to me it sounds like it has the same problem as before the tsb was done. As long as it doesn't grind and the clutch throws out all the way, I'm not too worried about it. It seems like the fact that it is noisy is the real annoyance. Having said that, it doesn't shift very well sometimes from 1st to 2nd when it's cold. I've heard of people on here lubing something that seems to take care of the noise...........I'd have to search to find out exactly what though

I rotated the cap on the piston rod (meets the clutch pedal when depressed) a half turn. After a couple years of the squeak, not a peep since.

Has anyone tired to take a video of the problem? I'm taking it in on Wednesday for the suspension TSB, and I'm going to try taking a video to show the dealer.

Take a long drive on the way there, blast your floor heat for a long while before going. Should squeak on command.

i have an 08 taco and i had the squeekyt clutch.....mainly when it was hot out and my truck sat.

they heard the squeek and even though my truck didn't fall under te TSB they replaced the whole Clutch pedal assembly.

even if they don't want to perform the TSB, it whould still fall under warrenty.

u can get them to fix it!!

Took my truck to have them look at the clutch this morning again. My drive is pretty much all highway. But I drove around on the side streets near the dealership for 10 minutes while blasting my floor with heat and the peddle squeaked easily. The tech said he would try to see if he can grease some joints to fix it, but he came back 2 mins later and said we needed to order a new clutch pedal assembly for it.

Good deal. If only it was as simple as grease... Now that they are ordering parts, hopefully that'll work out.

They haven't figured that out yet?

My gawd, my 96 had a clutch pedal squeek. It was a tiny 50 cent horse-shoe shaped bushing that kept wearing out. I replaced that bushing 3 times in the 5 years I owned my 96. If you don't replace that bushing, it eventually starts wearing into the spring itself.
