Wish i could sleep late. Sounds like a good day for it. But I'll be up with the rooster drinking coffee.

.5 not sure what you decided to do with those splines. Out of curiosity I googled spline repair with metal epoxy, or devcon product, anyways some hits came up on tractor forums. Just FYI, seems there is a tractor talk discussion around here someplace:D

I never used it. I was curious about it so went to investigate and it was uh...expired to say the least...all dried out.

just kind of feels like a second tier product, thread locker and epoxy doesn't seem to hold as well
maybe I've just not used it correctly

The stuff I ended up throwing out was devcon titanium if I recall. And in a orange colored container. I googled Devcon steel repair and it didn't show any examples of what was in the shop. Could be just a more modern container now though. Or like some other things....work so darn good there's something bad about it and its removed from production

Roger that, I’ll be honest with you, instead of buying and trying something that will probably fail anyway, I’ll probably just do a little welding and grinding and drive it on with a hammer so I know it’s tight and put a castle nut with a cotter pin

Joe does. I have a hard time running over a squirrel in the road :-/ he got 2 this year by way of car. Broken legs and found them in the front yard and put them out of there misery... just got the meat last weekend. He was hoping for this one. No buck this year. He has a buddy archery hunt and nothing either... It’s ironic, I see deer all the time when I’m doing wood.... we also take the kids fishing ... he’s living the dream:thumbsup:

I don’t mean weld it on to be cut off later, I mean some welds where nobody knows it but me :)

Very pretty country. Top photo looks stormy like tornado type weather. You get tornadoes there? Edit; for sure some nice fish! Both my son and daughter love to fish!

I’m watching Mecum auto auction, it amazes me what some of these cars and trucks are selling for knowing what goes into restoring them.

A friend of mine restored and older chevelle years ago and he said “you know how you get $25,000 out of a car like this?” I said how? He said “put $50,000 in it”.

It’s the same way with restoring tractors, I’ve lost a lot doing that :anonymous:
