Warning about True North Outback Adventure Co’. formally core outfitters- NATHAN MCDONALD

I didn’t want to change the beginning of the name too much because when you search “core” are thread pops up first.

 

New people won't know what core is but I know what you mean. Keep it as is.

 

It’s a hard choice, but with this at the top view on google I’m hoping it will make its way to the top when searching his new company name.

edited the name. Apparently he is associated with the company but not the face.

want people to be informed, but I also don’t want to screw up a new company either. We want to support companies feeding our hobbies. Assuming they don’t screw us over as core did when we were trying to support him. Tough call. Changing things as info comes in.

Cause the guy that confirmed it was Nathan to me said Nathan approached him with the idea and trying to do it etc.

again, don’t want to fuck a new company that is just starting. If it is all core then sure. He still owes people money, why start a company with vendors (costs money to do so).

 

Hello Fellow off roaders , and overlanders and anything in between

I come to you today because a tie between my company and an individual that you or atleast some of you know and have had some experience with. My name is Greg Hart , and attached to this post is a copy of my Master business license , with any addresses/phone numbers removed . This is simply to give you all proof that True North OutBack Adventure co , does in Fact belong to myself and a friend of mine . Not Nathan MacDonalds , whom you all are refering that it is.
Saying that , i do consult with Nathan and he has asissted me with my startup. It is this action that has prompted some of you to beleive this was his company , when in fact it is not. Whether we want to like it or not before all of this went down CORE was a successful business , well reviewed in fact . Enough so i spent money that i also lost in the deal , more than most in fact . We used photos that he had taken as i prefer something a little more real than stock photos .This has been changed as of today . I prefer some real adventures to ones that are not known to me. His role with me is simple , i consult with him. end of story.
I know from reading this forum thread that most of you don't want to "screw" with a new company. I can appreciate that. Im just trying to make a start. I get there is alot of bad blood but thats not me or my company. I just want to more forward in a better situation than i started this day out to be. So for those with the level head , Thank you.

On that note , i would like the tie and references to CORE and my company True North Outback Adventure Co be removed and changed as they are false . I would appreciate that any tie ins are also negated going forward as they would also be false. Please keep the issues at hand in the places they need to be , between you and him , not me.

If you would like to have a civil discussion i am open to that. However i will not take aggressive or insulting behaviour .

Thank you for coming on and clearing the air. I believe if you read through, you would have seen we wanted to ensure that your company name was cleared prior to any thing. All the posts were assumptions. Now you have stated that he is associated with your company.

You do understand that as a business owner saying “CORE was a successful business” on a page that has people who lost large sums of money is a terrible move. Especially as this is all going to court and people still haven’t been paid after many years.

Additionally vouching for someone that still owes people lots of their hard earned money is a terrible idea.

Glad that this is all quoted though. I don’t know if you read through the thread, but having him as an associate after the things he has done to the community and then vouching for him is a slap in the face to many people on here.

I understand and appreciate why you came on here, however your approach, vouching for someone that has taken peoples hard earned money doesn’t seem to be wise.

 

I think that if you take the emotional biases aside and look at CORE as the business it was once , then yes it was successful . There is no doubting that. It was the events that created the dark void pit its in and that he is in due to his actions and his actions alone. I am not really vouching for him in anyway . i am simply saying i consulted him , i don't condone his actions or anything that has occured from his CORE days . As i said he owes me too . On that note having consulted him for my startup was in all honestly my business . and it was his knowledge i was after , he has no power in my company or authority.

Saying that i can't keep everyone happy . I wanted to clear the air and i wanted to get any references between CORE and True North Outback Adventure Co removed , because as you say association with CORE is not good for business.

 

You have the former owner of a business that scammed many people as a consultant. I hope you understand that this does raise many flags for people, especially the ones that are still out large sums of money.

 

I realize this . and as of this morning some things are changing within my company to rectify this. But his history and actions have no bearing on my business nor how i operate it. I simply want the references to stop . that means any reference. As i try and move forward in a much more positive manor. What i expect is that we all want to move forward.

 

Changed the title. As it stands you asked for him to consult with your company. You did put that in words. As of right now, I don’t believe any of the information in here is false. I have also went out of my way to ensure we didn’t hurt a new business until we had the facts. Again, we want to support new businesses. However it is very difficult to start trusting a new company when they consult with and state that a former company known in the community for taking peoples money was “a good business”.

Not too sure, my version of right isn’t associating with thief’s and then suggesting their methods of business are successful. Perhaps yours is different? But as you said, this could go on.

I will say this thread was produced to compile information for those that had the questions of “where are my items” and “I haven’t seen what I paid for”.

I hope all the best for your new company, I really do. You offer many products that many in the community are looking for. We supported a business just like this as you can tell by the $60k in unclaimed items on the first page on here alone.

I do believe the information in here hasn’t slandered your company (until you did mention a few items that were questionable).

I don’t believe a call one on one is going to fix anything. You are more then welcomed to message any of the people in the first page and plead your case. Perhaps a town meeting? Again, this isn’t meant to be vulgar or intimidating. I simply don’t speak for the grown adults in this thread so a one on one conversation will not work for me. Who am I to speak for these people.

Again. This thread was constructed to showcase information for those that needed. I am not out any money from Core. However the money I was given instead of the products I was promised could have been anyone’s. Why I help organize this thread.

 

In any case as long as Nathan involved in any way our club, TEC condemns any relations to this new business. Period.



My personal take: charging this outrages rates to teach people what we do for $10 or even free, no need to join club to go on trips that we host every year where we teach and show basics, is fucking dumb.

regardless of what they offer, that isn’t of discussion. For someone new, that’s totally fine. Different strokes for different folks.

the conversation at hand is the delivering of products or money. The person to deliver is now consulting with another company. That’s it. People want their money.

 

I am not here to plead with anyone , i am not here to beg anyone. I am here to protect my business from the obvious emotional "adults" who will fire before asking. As i have been having posts removed all day from Facebook . There are " adults" here and there who feel that pulling a trigger because they are angry at someone is better than actually fact checking . I have had messages sent to me that have insulted me , and i have been dealing with this " adult" behavior all day. so begets me to be a little low on the patience with these " adults" . Saying that you have certainly been more adult than many today. I am trying to be level headed , as i also lost a substantial amount of money in the CORE ordeal. But i will protect my business from these " adults" in any means within my reach. You will understand that i am sure. I came here in good faith , to clear the air . and i suppose i have to expect to take at least a little heat , which i am prepared to , but i stand by my position . I needed information for my startup. He had it . i used the information to get myself set up to succeed. If for that i need to take some heat because of the individual , then so be it.

If any of the members who feel that i am the toxin to their landfill by using Nathan as a consultant , then i urge them to send me a message and i will have a proper conversation , otherwise this back and forth banter condoning the childish behavior that has been displayed to me today , is not going to get anyone anywhere. I came to clear the air , and for the most part it seems some has been cleared , and i guess thats fine.
