    No bottom in them... they're high-end something's bored from 11.125" diameter 303 stainless billet round bar!

    Well this is a little different than a internal combustion engine. Think in terms of hydraulic systems now...like the cylinder and ram that raises the box on a dump truck...only this is a little different still...

    Hmmm.... many of the hydraulic cylinders we rebuild at work have a small taper on the inside of the cylinder to compress the gland components. At least on the smaller cylinders.
