Don’t tell them you are all cash. They make a significant amount of money off You financing the truck. You’ll get a better deal if they think you’re going to finance. Even if you just finance the vehicle then pay it off after the first month.

I think that many of us realize that location matters, but are willing to go to a bit of inconvenience to save money. I was formerly in manufacturing, where the saying went that there is "quality, service and price -- CHOOSE ONLY TWO" In the case at hand, quality is not an issue, since we are all seeking an identical product (rather than raw material), however, service and price are what guide our purchase. "Service" is buying at the dealership that is most convenient to us, while "Price" means to go for the lowest price wherever that may take you. Personally, I would buy locally for a $500 difference or less, but once it goes above that, I will take a flight anywhere and would probably be able to negotiate my plane fare in the deal. I live in Arizona and have lived in California previously. The savings are in the thousands to purchase in Arizona over California and it is a no-brainer for me to travel to Arizona to save the money. Your local dealer's service department will not give a thought to where you purchased your vehicle. It is under warranty, you take it in for service, and all is well. Certainly, it may be worth thousands of dollars to a purchaser to walk in to the local dealer and pay the local price for the convenience of driving a short way and leaving the dealer with a new Tacoma. Not to me. MHO.

I have been looking for a TRD Pro, AT, Lunar Rock all over the country. There seem to be more in the SE and East coast. California, Arizona, and Nevada also have some. My local dealer is asking (and getting) added dealer markup over MSRP on all TRD Pros of $7,500.
Bottom line - almost all all asking for $4K-$10K above MSRP for this vehicle. I was willing to fly just about anywhere if the price was right and decided like many others to hunker down and see what happens.
I have had great luck with Webb Toyota in Farmington NM - working on a deal now with them for $46,780. I’ve never paid MSRP for a vehicle, but that is a great deal for something that is high demand right now.....as others have said, demand is high and dealers have the upper hand. Webb has been fantastic to deal with!

The truck you ask for does not exist. As Toyota does not offer the TRD PRO in Army Green for 2021.
And I agree it is all about Location, Location, Location.

And I do have proof of an Automatic Pro in Army Green in that price range. Just On Earth not Mars. :D

My best is still $3,000 off MSRP on SR5 4x4 DCLB Cement. Choices are red accent interior, or standard black. One has predator step and one doesnt. Otherwise no other mods. Will hopefully buy it this weekend and have it shipped it to me.

Canada - BC lower mainland; 2021 TRD Sport Premium DCLB has been ordered. We do not get the same choices/configs most of you get.

Supply chain woes - started this process on Dec 2, chose dealer Dec 23, order placed in the queue Dec 26, truck "allocated" and set to arrive late March. 2021.

Listed at $48535 (46570 MSRP + 1840 Freight + 100 AC Charge + 25 Tire levy). Agreed upon price $46543 facilitated by C@rCostC@n@d@. Still a bit of work to do on dealer installed accessories, doc fees and trade-in value but the process with the dealer has been easy and fair (a few texts, a few photos and 2 short phone calls).

The only big variable before it arrives is my trade-in value. The dealer had a few fair offers when we were hoping/looking at a late Jan arrival. Hope those offers are still there in March. Trade-in value reduces the taxable amount and at 12% it isn't chump change.

Note - all this with no face to face & no down payment/security. I suspect that they will have no trouble selling this for more if I get beer-trucked before it arrives.

If I do get beer-trucked before then, please contact my wife. She'll have a bunch of NIB DD lights and a NIB Mx4 Bakflip that arrived yesterday. She has no idea what they cost so please be gentle.

    I feel your pain

    Toyota won’t sell a srv6 dcsb 4x4 or a sr5 DCLB 4x4 in my region.
wont even allow dealers to order here

my choice is sport or offroad which I can’t afford

I am having to shop in Nebraska and WA and MN to get a sr5 DCLB 4x4 v6

    pretty ridiculous ....

    Also some dealer msrp
    Other dealers 2500 off msrp
    Other dealers 3000 off msrp

    exact truck

all over the place price wise

My TTL was $278 so add that to my $41k and that’s OTD.

I just paid 30,250 (plus tax and dealer fee) for my 2021 SR5 in St Petersburg, FL. I think MSRP was 34,122.

I guess I just don’t understand the point to this thread. I thought it was to let other members know where they could find a truck for less than the total of MSRP, add-ons and dealer fees?
Since your (every person reading this) personal TTL will be the same no matter where you buy the vehicle what relevance does it have to the price? The only difference in the price of the truck will be the specific dealer you purchase it from.
When I posted earlier that I paid $41k for a truck that totaled $45,227 that was 100% accurate. Anyone who purchases a truck from the same dealer should be able to get similar pricing.
I sold my previous truck outright (did not trade it) for $38k. I got to deduct that $38k from $41k and my TTL was $278. But that is my personal situation and has nothing to do with the price myself or anyone else can get from the dealer.

TTL is going to be the same for your situation no matter what dealer you buy from. If it’s not you have a shady dealer or your state has completely different taxing/licensing than mine. I’ve bought vehicles from other states and never paid any TTL to the dealer.

Trades and cash or financing could impact pricing from dealer to dealer but TTL should not.

The only way this thread works the way the OP wants it to and I agree is to post year , trim , cab size , 4x4 , bed size , MSRP and price paid after discount and rebate but before TTL and trade , you can add state if you want .

You do realize you just argued our point and that everyone on this forum lives in different states, counties, etc. For instance, IL sales tax is based on the county you live in which can vary from 6% to 8% just in the Chicagoland area. When I lived in AZ dealer fees were not capped or set at a state enforced amount like they are here in IL so some dealers would have a $199 dealer fee some a $799 dealer fee. See how quickly the numbers can change based on taxes and fees alone. And yes some states have trade in credits like yours so did AZ and IL when I bought, which also vastly changes the amount. So when you say OTD and only paid $278 for TTL that definitely changes the perspective as some people pay 10 to 20 times that for TTL. So when you only post the MSRP $45227 and then prior to TTL, $41000, it gives a more accurate idea of the discount for others not in the same state or situation as you (trade in tax credit, etc.). So in a nut shell you're discount was just under 10% off MSRP.

2021 Off Road well equipped, sticker was $45,580 paid $42,720, before taxes. In Colorado, lucky to find one was watching dealer inventory from several dealers. Found one equipped like I wanted, called it was sold. Internet guy told me a truck just pulled onto the property, he would see what was on it. Called back 30 mins later, they had what I wanted on it. Asked for best cash price, put $500 down on card, pic edit up the next day. While at dealership saw 2 guys come in wanting one, they were told nothing till mid Jan. Got Lucky.
