@PennSilverTaco I have a feeling Chrysler is not going to survive 2021, seems like they only have 2 or 3 models anyway.

Yeah l think just Chrysler won't make it, l think they only have a minivan and a 300 right now which could simply go over to the Dodge brand.

 

And the Pacifica/Voyager will be the new Grand Caravan?

 

I am just taking a wild guess at all of this, thinking new auto sales are going to plummet and the Chysler nameplate seems like a logical cut.

 

Every Chrysler model is available with 0% financing to qualified buyers now! Give me a Ram TRX at 0% APR and I'm there! Doubt that's gonna happen though; They're probably selling the TRX above sticker!

 

When my uncle was pulling parts from that '69 AMC Rebel in 2019, that car had both inspections and emissions stickers that expired in 1995; I believe that 1968 was the first year when emissions regulations started to take hold. Nevada requires annual emissions testing for all vehicles 1968 and newer, which is even stricter than California, in the Las Vegas and Reno metro areas! It is surprising to me that a 1967 vehicle would require emissions testing in Pennsylvania, so I'm guessing it was just a visual inspection; In Pennsylvania, all vehicles 1974 and older are now exempt from emissions test (though most vehicles older than me - I was born in 1989 - generally have antique plates now). Also in Pennsylvania, ALL diesel vehicles from little Volkswagens all the way up to commercial trucks, are exempt from emissions; All heavy duty (2500/250 and 3500/350) trucks and cargo vans (a cargo van is considered a truck in PA) are also exempt from emissions, regardless of whether they are gas or diesel.

Any vehicle with antique tags is exempt from both emissions and safety inspections!

 

He could afford that, but he wants stock and neither of his granddaughters can drive stick...

There's also still the matter of getting a new title, and the even more significant (in my opinion) issue of not having keys; We can't lock the car and we can't get into the trunk!

1st Gen Kia Sorrentos are no longer all that common anymore (at least in my area), and this is the first one I've ever seen with off-road tires!
