You have a few arguments to add -

    1. You didn't ask for a total loss, you didn't ask to get hit, etc. You can contest the vehicle value if you feel it's too low.

    2. You can be compensated for add-ons, which could fall under your comprehensive coverage IE if my 4R was a total loss, I'd get the value of my 4Runner alone, and separately from that, the add ons such as my suspension, rear bumper, etc.

    3. Insurance companies won't tell you, and I'm not sure if this differs for each state, but you can get compensated for 'loss of use'. Normally, people rent a car, and ask to get reimbursed. If you rent no car, your insurance company won't tell you about the money set aside to pay out for said rental since they expect you not to ask for it.

These are just off the top of my head; my ex had a total loss years ago while under my insurance policy, not to mention being in the car business, you learn a lot from it.

On another note, my damn tire guy at the parts department is off again.

Have to wait until Monday to order a full-size spare :frusty:

Forgot to reply to this; don't owe me anything but I'd love a tan-colored button for my 4R power driver seat.

I don't know when it happened, but mine fell off.

If you venture out to a yard or something and find a set (the long one), I'd love one.

You know, I had to quit pulling those things. I always got burned on shipping. Those calculators on UPS, USPS, Fedex etc websites are never accurate to what they charge when you bring it to the store.

Id quote some dude $120 for the box plus $45 for shipping. He'd pay me and Id go to ship only to find out shipping a box that big is actually $70.

Damn, yeah $70 to ship an air box is nuts. When I shipped a pair of 2.0 coilovers across the country a couple years ago it was that much and those things are heavy.

If it's slow enough today, I'll try to install my OME 890 springs when my service department closes.

Throw my 4R on the lift, undo my rear shock bottoms, let that fucker droop and yank out my 906.

@Tour991 you're going to need the springs right?

    Fuck.

I hate that there are no local places carrying nice monitors; Frys really cleared out a lot as if they're shutting down...and I hate chancing a monitor online in case I get a dead pixel or something.

Monoprice has a 1 year guarantee for dead pixels so I didn't feel too bad about ordering online

Best Buy has an improved components section, but neither of the 3-4 I went to recently have many gaming monitors.

Recently went to Costco too (my girl has membership, I don't) and I didn't see anything that fit my wants.

2k or higher res, 1ms 144hz-165hz refresh rate, 27" or larger

Wish to see it in person and not buy blindly online.

I can order to ship to store, but have been wanting to see one in person before dropping 500 give or take.

Our Best Buy and Costco's suck

But shipping for dead pixel

Shipping/receiving has already been a long issue for me as you've seen it personally when you sent me something.

Waiting after finding a dead pixel is inevitable even for local box stores if they don't have a replacement in stock. Better off ordering the exact monitor you want off Walmarts website for the free shipping and easy returns. The undecided waiting is going to take longer than an actual blind online order and return would.

    That's absolutely correct.

I did do a Walmart and Target search; Best Buy or Newegg has the best selection.
