Yeah I was looking at hiding the rust/creating a layer of protection and remembered you mentioned you run f5s on your 4r. Was curious what you did for your rear hubs. Thanks for the info @68dave !!

I don't think it would bother me that much. Whats bothering me is the surface rust. Hahaha. Thanks for the recommendation @RobP62. Ill look into it. From what I read on the forums, the hub area gets pretty warm due to the wheel and brakes, so ppl tend to use high temp grill paint. However, that's all word of mouth. I don't really know how hot it gets.

I used the high heat on my muffler when I put it on. It's very durable. Acrylic is morerer durable though.

However, that claim that the grill paint is 2000° is questionable. My grill doesn't even get close to that.

Now a paint designed for engines, that's gonna be real paint.

    Thanks @RobP62

I would talk about how hot my grill gets but apparently we can't have one in an apartment complex-_-

Amazon usually charges double for most spray paints. Home Depot won’t let you order for in store/curb side pick up. I think Lowe’s might. Walmart is usually pretty cheap for paints and quick shipping but you need over 35 for free shipping.

Thanks for the info! Looking online lowes seems to be the most expensive at $8. Looks like Walmart and Amazon are about $6.44. For Walmart I can pick it up for free in Ellicott tomorrow.

@RobP62 found a rustoleum engine paint rated at 2k degrees. Guess I'm going with that. Hahha. Only thing is the color is flat black.

With demand today personally I think you'd be lucky to get any deal on a Tacoma. Granted its been a few years since I bought mine, but it seems like demand has if anything gone up since then. That being said asking for $3,000 off doesn't seem like a lot, but the impression I get is that most dealers aren't interested in negotiating because there's so many people willing to pay sticker. Who knows I could be totally wrong. Best of luck!

    Getting that mates rate! https://youtu.be/zWg_szaFw-I

I’d be thinking there are probably not many that’ll give discounts or much of one right now with how these have been selling. Did you see this thread on 2021 pricing? https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/what-are-you-paying-for-your-2021-tacoma-price-thread.685728/

Looks like there is a lot of new 4Runners available maybe a better deal could be had on one of those. The way the 3rd gen market is looking, it has me considering a Ranger.

Build it on KBB and see the fair price range value. My starting negotiating price is the lower number.

That said, in 2019 I got my 2019 TRD offroad, with premium and tech package (no tonneau. Just got an OEM one from a member on the TW forum) for 38300 out the door.

You should be able to get 8% off easy on that truck. You need to get some more quotes from high volume dealers. Koons in Westminster would be a good start. Email them with the truck then ask them for there best price. Personally I would never do business with friends. They have a boss they report to and I sincerly doubt you will get a better price than someone off the street.

Start emailing all the dealers in the area and get quotes. If they tell you to come in to the dealer move on to the next one. Remember they all want to take as much money from you as possible. Inventory looks to increasing. Good luck with your search.

    Welcome to the forum Brian:hattip:

What trim model? SR5, Off Road, Sport, Pro? That's what is really going to drive the price. Age too. A new 2019 or 2020 will obviously be less than a new 2021.

My general rule of thumb though is 15% off the sticker, or MSRP. The less picky you are the better deal you'll get.

I got my end of year new Pro at about 13% off. Oh, don't talk trade or down payment until you lock in your price.

Good luck Brother and stop back and let us know how you do

Last year I was looking at those new TRD Pro 4runners, mid to upper $40's. Used with low mileage wasn't much cheaper. I would love one but my 20yo 4runner has been treating me so well I couldn't justify the expense. Maybe one day...

The Pros look nice, I could do with out some of the electronic gizmos. I like the Venture series and the OR as well, those are still on the expensive side. I see plenty of Limiteds listed online, that's where I think the best deals could be.
