    Nope.

Lived everywhere from S. Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Illinois, and Germany.

Left Illinois in 2010 to come back to CA.

Duh, my bad. You were military, of course you "got" to live elsewhere.. although being forced to relocate has got to leave a bad state in your mouth?

2011 is when I moved west. My grandfather was a WA native so when he passed and his remains were buried at a cemetery in his childhood home, I fell in love with everything he always talked about and stayed out here.

Lived out of the back of a ford focus I rented at the airport for 2 weeks before I found a job and a place to live

I'm quite thankful that I lived everywhere really; I met a lot of great people along the way from different backgrounds. It's helped me to get along with anyone and everyone I meet in person because of it.

One state that did give me a bad taste, was Illinois; Chicago city specifically. Fuck that noise.

I remember you saying you grew up with your grandparents, only fitting that you went back to WA. Where were you before that?

My comment was referring specifically to you living in IL :rofl:I would be okay in all those other places you mentioned ... other than probably TX

I was born in MD just outside of DC, moved in with my grandparents for senior year and they lived in PA at that time.. they left MD by the time I was 8. Granddad was a professor at the University of MD

Glad you enjoy them! This project is responsible for holding onto my sanity over the last year.

Yeah that's rust pitting. I don't think it's significant on the C channel part of the frame, but the pieces welded between the channel and the boxed section between cab and bed were seriously thin. I added a bunch of metal where I could, hopefully without warping it too much. Considering I was able to squeeze it together by hand before to position the cross members but now had to use a hi lift jack, I think it's quite a bit stiffer. We'll see how it drives... eventually.

Need to figure out how I ant to do bump stops, bought the wheelers ones before I got the ubolt flip, I think I can make them work.

You may have caught a comment or two I've thrown out there about IL huh?

I liked how certain areas were festive during the holidays, otherwise the whole place was a shit hole to live in.

I don't know if it's because of the fucked up corrupt stuff I saw as an LEO, or the day to day living in the city, the 'fast' life everyone was living immediately around you.

I had a few good friends in which we shared a common hobby of being audiophiles, but really, everything else sucked out there.

And god damn, didn't know you were born out there; any actual mexican food to be found out there?

Hopefully somewhere where they don't give you ketchup in lieu of salsa for your chips?

I look forward to your solution, I like those wheelers bumps tops but am still on the fence if I get the ubolt flip kit with my suspension upgrade... all next summer for me hopefully

Thankfully all the uppity ups in DC hire immigrants do their work so there was a thriving ethic diversity in the shittier neighborhoods, like the one I grew up in. My neighbor was from El Salvador and his wife was the first time I ever had a Pupusa, fuck they're so good.. honestly rather have those than tacos.

Having 4 kids and trying to own a business my parents wallet was stretched thin so Dad did all his bulk food shopping at local Mexican markets.. he couldn't speak a lick of Spanish but that didn't matter. The traditional tamales from the grandma outside the store was always my favorite part of going shopping.

Fuck. Now I'm hungry from homemade Latino food:rofl:

If I did a custom rear 4 link to get rid of the stock setup, I'd definitely sell you my take off stuff for cheap.

Fortunately, there are no real fabricators near me.

I told Sergio from So Cal I'd have him do a ton of work for me if I lived down there.

Hell, I'd have an SAS going already

For me, it's lack of a real welder local to me that prevents me from getting shit done.

Local mexican places out here are a dime a dozen, tons of good food.

But yeah I miss rican food mostly, and if I want the real stuff I'd need to visit my dad in Texas.

Now you got me hungry :annoyed:

Really you have to go to Texas? I woulda thought enough Ricans made it to CA by now to open an eatery. Thankfully up here there's enough diversity I can go to a rican specialist or specific pupusaria and everything isn't just lumped under "mexican"

There's only one real rican place I know of and it's a restaurant in the SF Bay Area.

Otherwise I'll take the real home made stuff I grew up with.

Have to remember the Ricans all hit the east coast as it's closer to them; hence all the cubans, ricans, etc in Florida and all.
