Yeah we're aiming for the end of the year, at least my wife is lol. More realistically I think we need to save more first. I would rather be able to move with enough money set aside to not feel rushed or squeezed into looking for work so we can settle and take our time to find what we want.

Of course that may be a pipe dream with the world the way it is right now, but we for sure are getting out of LA before Sofia starts school even if we have to force it. But that's a few years out.

I want out of CA entirely but my wife's super attached to her mother who's in her mid 70s, and with her brother's brain cancer now we'll probably be moving closer to Norcal to be where they are.

My dad's up in Medford, OR right now looking at houses with his wife, they're getting TF out of here too especially since he was forced into retirement last year

    Michelins are really polarizing

With Michelins on the Jetta there was never a need for snow tires and they lasted 60k mi per set. I have all seasons on the 6.7l and they're great in everything I've put them through, too.

Telling you, it's cheap AF out there in the Fresno area or even just outside like Clovis, Sanger, Selma, etc.

I was surprised how short of a drive it was too when I went out there.

I remember telling my girl 'fuck yes, this is way too close to fun'

That kind of solidified the decision to move out there

Hour or so? Right now I'm a good 6 hours from the lower Sierras and it's a boring ass drive through the desert lol.

    It was about 45-50 minutes.

It's also about 50 minutes from Kings Canyon too.

Way too much beautiful landscape out there, and considering all the fire roads and trails out there off highway 168, I know I'll have a ton to explore.

Even though I love the coast, and I'm 15 minutes within a beach, I think I miss the snow and the mountains a lot more.

Well the cheap tires rode nice and were always smooth but were soft so they absorbed any road debris with paper thin sidewalls

That's the thing where my wife and I are polar opposites...she needs to be within a couple hours or less of the ocean, I need the same with the mountains.

    @Kwikvette

I'm in no rush. Have had them for almost a year and then decided to leave the Taco stock AF.

I feel like the main slider bodies would have to work, it'd just be a matter of the mounts (which are literally just a box of parts that need to be cut/welded for each application anyway).

Been considering getting rid of mine for months. If you think they'll work, I'll give them to you for cheap.

I'll definitely take you up on that!

Is the Tacoma an extended cab?

I'll see how long a length I need for my 4Runner, and compare them with the length of your sliders?

    Yeah for me its mountains+snow.

Loved that shit when I was in Germany, and mountains mainly to hike in.

The Sierras are beautiful and I seriously can't wait to have a house not far from.
