Random interruption but seems like a fair place to ask fee free to point elsewhere but how are the stock Taco differentials holding up
against RCVs in abuse? E.g deep snow, speed off-road, stuck, sand, full turn and lock on tight trails, etc.? If I blow another CV I may consider that route even if it seems overkill for my use... just hate going through them so quick.

There are a couple guys I've seen on here reporting breaking an RCV. I believe they broke at the inner joint. I haven't seen or heard of a diff getting grenaded only the ADD tube.

Mine are breaking at the outer joint so maybe that’d help me lol. I am not sure how easy it is to replace the ADD tube isn’t that fixated to the front diff and will count as blowing the diff indirectly? Or is that also plug and play? Fingers crossed on the CVJs or that’s next.

The ADD is a separate piece and has a stub shaft that disconnects from the front diff. You can replace it with the solid version on the FJ. You'll loose some MPGs, get a tighter feel driving down the road, and more sluggish. It can be swapped in a few hours on the truck.

Still haven't seen any pics and/or vids of your truck in the dirt. How bout you post something relevant to that and get this thread back on track. We wanna see all of that travel cycling, too. Speed bumps at the mall don't count!

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
Regeared it yesterday. It's in limp mode for a hot minute for break in. I have a new job, pandemic, family affairs keep me from venturing out...kinda have a full plate atm, and I don't owe anyone anything in terms of keeping you distracted with content. "Oh entertain us so we don't get bored and smear shit all over the place..." :smack:

Seriously, talking about other vendors and products like its the lunch table at work...? That's what the BS threads are for and the behavior I'd expect in YouTube comments.

Now, y'all want to discuss and compare how JD's products are better than X manf because Y factors...cool beans, but that is not what is happening here.

You get your panties in a wad far too easily over silliness. Remember this is a public forum.

I'd expect someone that dumps that much coin into their truck to actually use it. If you really want to use it you'll find or make the time to do it, otherwise that's excuses. :boink:

I think the people would just like some proof of the pudding seeing these products in action. Seeing you have one of the most JD built trucks (of the newer Tacoma parts), you are the poking stick of asking to see some action of the truck. We’re going on a year and a half of this thread and I don’t believe there has been a clip or even picture of a truck in action. (Not doubting the product, just want to see it in action. Loving my steering so far)

Perhaps there can be a JD Fab build meet up in this new year.

No harm intended. But nothing says "talk is cheap" like posting some dusty action shots. I guess I'd take speed bumps at the mall at this point.

LOL. 36 photo's and one of a truck in action.

Not doubting any innovation or skills that have been shown in this thread but really? All the money being dumped into these trucks somebody has to actually be wheeling them.
