The brackets have 2 pieces. One piece bolts to your bedrack. The other piece bolts to your bedrail. And then those two pieces get bolted together.

    Here is the regular bracket:

    The BAK specific one:

Sorry this one is a little blurry. The BAK one is a little touchy to maneuver but it can be done. The BAK cover relocates the bed rails and this bracket makes up for it.

I have a hoist setup in my garage so taking it off and putting it back on are super quick and easy. Just 4 bolts. Otherwise, you and a buddy can do it manually. Its about 180 pounds with the rack and the tent.

About an inch of rake unloaded, about where I was stock. Once the weather gets better I am going to load it up and see what I have.

Not today, but yesterday I installed fog lights and took off my chin strap! Looks good if I do say so myself.

Installed my relentless fabrication quick fist brackets and rear bed rail. Tonneau cover comes in this week so until then I only mounted the axe for the picture and won’t put any toys in the back until it’s installed. 72DBDE74-6A4C-4AD1-B804-5490A907EF63.jpg

I’m going to go the same route with the Headstrong 3leaf AAL. I had this on my ‘17 AC and left the overload leafs in because of the weight of the shell. Nice and level with Billstein 5100’s front and rear and 887 OME coils up front. What are you running up front? Did you remove the overload leafs? Thanks. Truck looks great BTW!

Much better without the chin strap! One of the first things I did on my ‘17 SR5 AC. Looked like a buck toothed shark from the side.

Got the same brackets after I got my tonneau cover. Nice to be able to keep the bed floor cleared for other gear!

I have the TRD Pro Fox suspension installed with a 1/4" spacer. I removed the stock overload springs as I wanted to try to maintain a fairly comfortable ride unloaded, and I also didn't want a big lift. I have about 175lbs of amor and I carry about 50lbs of gear in the bed regularly. When I am loaded with my camping gear and bikes it adds about another 150lbs. Prior to putting the AAL in I was pretty much level empty, and a slight bro lean with my regular gear in the truck. Once loaded up I dropped another 1/4", and was about 1/2" lower in the back than the front. Not too noticeable, but enough to bother me, thus the AAL. I chose Headstrong because it doesn't require any cutting, in case I wanted to remove them in the future. A nice little touch also it that the hangers for the brake lines can be reattached to the clip like stock. Time will tell how much sag I get over time.

Thanks man! I would prefer to keep a slight rake as well since it’s already hard enough to see over the hood when approaching a crest. Plus since I recently installed LED headlight bulbs I definitely don’t want the bro lean which would just lead to all oncoming traffic flashing their high beams at me. o_O This was an issue when I got my shell on the ‘17. The three leaf with the overload leafs worked out perfectly.

Yes, your truck looks much better with the AAL, I like your wheels and tires too.

So far I really like it. Gives a little more pad and keeps me from wearing out the oem material. Only concern I'd have with your dog would be his nails possibly snagging in the fabric, but these covers are inexpensive so it wouldn't be a big deal to replace them if that were to happen.
