    I'd be up for that!

    You have any favorite roads?

    Oh and @4x4Runner .

Ive lived here my whole life, but nothing comes to mind when I get asked that. I just like riding all of the roads. Starting to get on gravel too

For now, I'm "pavement only"! I tend to stay close to home (Winchester) but have taken to Skyline Drive lately. Not much park police presence in the off season! :bikewheelie:

Also partial to the stretch of 211 between Sperryville and Luray but I'm not picky!

Considering adding an ADV type bike to the stable. For the type of riding I like the sport touring platform works best though. Ride 2 up quite a bit, Iron Butt rides and long distance rallies. In 2018 and 2019 put in mileage in 32 states.

We definitely need to plan a ride winter barely started and I’m ready for spring to be here.

Last couple rides we just picked a spot on the map to meet then went from there. But a planned route might be better if we’re getting a group together

Yea, @LocoLocal has a Harley, so he rides pavement only too. Im not opposed to that. I havent been out to Winchester in a while, and I don't know too many roads out there, but Im open to it. Actually just like hearing my exhaust and playing getaway with traffic.

When you guys decide time/place to meet up for a ride let me know. I'm up for putting faces with screen names and meeting fellow riders. I'm pretty much paved roads only but my FJR has been a few places it had no business going.

Sounds like a tentative plan! I'll ride pretty much any time it's mid-40's or higher, as long as the sun is out and the roads aren't salty. My old bones don't care for the cold much and I hate having to clean the bike in a cold garage!
I've definitely been in a few awkward/anxiety inducing situations due to poor road choice as well! :bikewhoops:

Finished and took a nice 30 mile test ride.

    [IMG] [IMG]

    Nothing left that I missed.

Also fitted new LED headlight bulbs.

Had to chase down a loose connection on my aux lights and fix that.

New Garmin Zumo XT to replace my Zumo 660

    Done!

After not riding my street triple in the last 1.5 years; I decided to turn it into a light weight sports tourer. Added oxford heated grips, USB port, my Garmin GPS, SW-Motech tank bag, givi easy lock panniers and a new set of diablo rosso corsa 2's that are waiting to go on.

Both of those look a-real nice!

I go back and forth re: heated gloves or grips. I went out for about 50 miles today and would've been fine except for my hands. I've got some insulated gloves that are decent but not sure I want more stuff to mess with. Of course, it doesn't help that I enjoy "extra" legal speeds... First world problems!

I've used both. I've had heated gloves since around 1998. My g/f had hit a deer and while her car was in the shop she needed to use mine. This was in November and I worked 3rd shift so heated gloves were purchased. This FJR has heated grips and one Buell I owned had them installed. My opinion is the cold air hits the outside of you hand and heated grips heat your palms. I use the heated gloves a lot. The heated grips only rarely like when I didn't think to bring the gloves. I think heated grips are great in a climate where it doesn't get really really cold.

I’ve run heated grips on a few other bikes including my current 790 duke as well. They help with the palms but my fingers always feel cold in temps below 7 Celsius. I’ve been eying up heated gloves lately

IMHO heated grips are great down to about 55. Adding Hippo Hands changed that and I'm good down to freezing or lower, now. But they look ridiculous haha

Anybody have any recommendations on a decent bore gauge for measuring cylinders? It's my first time rebuilding the ol kdx 200.
