What’s the best way if you don’t want anytime fogs but want them to work with the park lights so they are on with lows and highs? I have a 2010

But with the anytime, won’t they work if my lights are off as well or any I mistaken?

That’s the point of this mod. Hence “ANYTIME” .

You’d have to tap off the taillight relay which I believe is tucked away inside the cab.

If you have the factory tow package, tap off pin 3 on the towing tail relay. If you don’t have the tow package, put an add a fuse in the tail fuse in the under dash fuse box and then cut the nipple off the firewall connector and feed the wire through.

Another way, if you don’t have the tow package, would be to tap off the LF park light with a fuse holder with a very low amp fuse.

I have been waiting to do this mod since I bought this Taco in October. I loved my 06 because when I installed the fogs, they were always independent. Just finished this mod. Really simple.

I couldn’t find an easy way to get the fuse out without buggering it up a bit, but channel-locks over needle-nose.

If you don’t have one of these magnetic lights for under the hood- you’re living in the past..

    56137A7F-F8A0-46C0-AB6A-EA140A192824.jpg

If you’d rather drill a clean hole, than have your wire stuffed under the lid of the fuse box, use this angle of approach with the bit. Since the lip of the lid comes down past the edge of the fuse box, you have to get under that lip without drilling into the underside of the floor where the wires attach to fuses. May be a minor detail, but I really wanted a clean look from outside the box.

Only real way I was able to fit the switched wire into the same slot as the Battery Charger fuse was to strip the end, and flatten out the wires rather than twisting them together. The post from the fuse holds it in there pretty dang tight.

    None so far
    Can I just use a fanned(splayed) out a Non-braided 16 gauge wire instead of the 20?

I can’t see how you’re gonna get it in there. The braided wire individually is super thin so it’s shares the space. You’re probably better off trying to get the blade in there then an in tact 16 gauge wire.

I guess my answer is, I don’t know. Doubt it.

Nope not a-one. My fog light button now functions as an independent system. It’s great.

Cool. I'm going to try that setup again. Maybe last time I just didn't have a good connection or something. I was going to try the EFI relay but I also don't want it randomly coming on every 4 hours.
