    I started to get vibes at 35-40 mph so i went back to get them rebalanced. Pretty much all gone now. For people getting these tires, just hope that the tire shop has a good tech and knows how to balance.

    Really? you get 35-40 mpg awesome:rolleyes: jk dude. I get those vibes too but at around 55-70mph. But it happens intermittently. I still haven't got them rebalanced for a couple months. I gotta get on top of that

    Keep an eye on that because there is a 55-70 mph vibe that is a sign that your rear u-joint or center support bearing is going..

    This is what concerns me about my air pressure - I'm still not running on the whole tread. You can see the clean, dry tread from the edge to about an inch in. Fronts are at 30psi, rears at 28psi. The side walls are starting to bulge a bit and I don't really want to go any lower but I'd like to be driving on all of the tread too.

    I have 31x10.5R15's...before these I had some Bridgestones, 265/75R15's more or less the same size, and ran them on 30/28 with even tread wear down to nothing (literally).

    I had my 265-75-16 duratracs road force balanced at my trusted tire shop and they ride better than the stock duncraps. Very happy with mine, can't wait to try them off the pavement.

    I had the center tread siped on my new duratracs to see how it would compare to my old set of duratracs that weren't siped. It helped considerably, yesterdays nasty snow filled up all the sipes and my braking and turning was considerably better than with the oem tire itself.

    I have the Duratracs and I absolutely love them. We don't get much snow in Georgia so i cant comment on that but they do well in the mud and climbing powerlines.

    do you drive alot in snow? i notice that my tires chunk pretty bad offroad...

    i know your in socal, but if you dont plan on running on snow all the time there are way better tire options out there.

    I plan on keeping the duratrscs for snow but getting something a little better for summer. the duratracs seem to wear kinda fast...

    the goodyear MTR would be a good alternative...

    In the spring, I plan on purchasing cooper discoverer STTs. great reviews offroad, good tread ware, little chunking

    there are alot of alternatives to the Duratracs. I for one am not happy with the tread wear and chunking. They seem to be soft with lots of siping for snow and ice traction. warm to hot pavement will wear them out fast being so soft! and they dont like rocks. They stick to rocks good but chunk bad, once again because theyre soft.
