Not a cutoff wheel, and grinding wheel. They remove material much faster than a flap disc and don’t gunk up like flap discs do. Might make your life easier in the future when you start getting more into welding.

regardless of the method you used, glad you got the HH on and like them. Looking forward to doing it myself.

I used the cutting wheel for the top 2 rivets on the first hanger and it was t that much faster but I was using my shitty hf 20v grinder. It stops if you apply any kind of pressure to it and it’s a pain to take it out of the angle your at to start it back up again and put it back into the cut you are making. The cutting wheel wouldn’t reach the rivet from bottom side because bumper and leaf was in way. If I had taken leafs out might have been able to get it in there but that was more trouble than it’s worth since I had to use a ratchet trap to line up leafs with my axle the first time. Flap disc was easier for me with the setup I was working with. You might have an easier time with a wall grinder but my wall grinder wasn’t at my house so I made do.

your gonna be extremely pleased when you put your hangers on! I think they are worth every penny and would recommend every time.

We ground the shit out of mine. Worked great. Then between the BJ press and the air hammer we knocked the rest out.

Took no time at all to grind the rivets. With the absolute most obnoxious rear bumper on the planet.

Anyone with a third gen wanting to have their truck tuned let me know. I created a thread in the Alabama region section outside this thread for folks to say yay or nay if interested. Costs me almost 400 to unlock each ecu and I’m charging 125 to help offset the costs.

Doesn’t exist yet bud. Map switching is still being worked on as an option and I don’t foresee it being available to non pro turners.

that was a long weekend haha sliders were a bizsnatch and a half. Cutting them at 25 degrees tucked them in nicely and left about an inch clearance for the rear doors to open.

Gears are supposed to be in this week so that’ll be next. Hoping to get those dual Viairs installing during the week so you can get the single, but it’s hinging on me overhauling my electrical add ons. Got a fuse and relay box to tidy things up under the hood. I may just pull the single out and worry about it later if you’re hot to get it.

It can wait, don't have anything to do this week so planned on going ahead and running wires to the bed. Also overhaul electrical under the hood needed too.
