Hello everyone I’m new to this community. I have a 2009 Tacoma 4WD.

I’ve recently change out my old control arms and stabilizer bar end links. After doing the install and an eyeball alignment, I went for a test drive and noticed a clunk noise coming from both driver and passenger side suspension sounds more like the strut assembly. Upon further inspection I’ve notice one of the bolts loose on the 2” leveling block that the previous owner installed and tightened that down, while checking on both side if the others were loose and they weren’t. I’ve tried removing the end links, checked the torque specs of everything and everything seems legit, kinda frustrating. I’m guessing it’s maybe a loose strut mount or the truck just needs a proper alignment.

Has anyone here had the same problem resolved?

Did you replace upper or lower control arms?

Hello Chris, I’ve replaced both upper and lower on both sides. The clunk noise is coming from both sides going forward or reverse and wile cornering.

Did you tighten everything in the air or on it's own weight?

I had a clunk when my passenger side upper control arm main bolt had loosended up. Maybe double check those with wheels on ground.

@sparkystaco I hand tightened everything first then torque them down with the truck on jack stands.

Loosen everything and bounce the truck a couple times then tighten with truck sitting on it's own weight.

Might be binding? Torque them when the truck is on it's own weight.
LCA cam bolts should also be torqued a little over spec. I think I did mine to something like 115. I've seen others go higher. I believe oem tq spec is 100.
