I'm thinking of taking the Can Am Ryker out. My wife says I'm crazy.

Holy cow that’s more snow than we have seen in Northern Ca this year (near the Oregon boarder) at 3000 ft above sea level.

Omg they do this bread and milk thing in pennsylvania too. My parents used to run out and buy extra stuff in case we got snowed in. In my own adult life I've never done it or understood that.

In Wisconsin, 8 months of winter is accomplished by drinking alcohol. Lots of alcohol. Oh, and cheese.

We had a ice storm the other week, then dumped about 8 inches of snow on top of it. Plows didnt clear the ice or the snow for 2 days, but most people around here either have 4wd, snow tires, or the just drive slow.

Heavy snow is really easy to drive in, it when you have a layer of ice covered in snow that it becomes a issue. But since my state is so used to it, if you get stuck, everyone gets out of their trucks and helps push you till your rolling again.

Meanwhile up here in Northern NV (east side of the Sierras) we should have had several decent storms by now. We had one early one that put down maybe 4", and the rest has all been just random rain or a bit of ground cover.

Of course, it being high desert, we'll probably get 3 feet of snow the first week of June.

That's the problem here, since we don't get ice or snow much, people don't know how to act. They think they can just drive like they normally do and it's fine.

I like to think of the first snow as the time that thins out the herd for the next 3 weeks. Anyone who drives like a jackass or does not remember how to drive gets to send their car to the body shop for the month... its like natures way of putting people in a time out.

You usually see the shit boxes come out shortly after the first snow fall as people wreck their normal cars.

I just learned that LA has "yard pipes", whatever those are.

Speak for yourself, you uncultured simpleton! I'm almost out of the syrup I made last spring and it will be at least end of Feb before I can make more!

    :annoyed:
