Thanks! Just realized I quoted the code when I asked for the code. Still too early I guess but got a set ordered. Thanks again

Thank you, I just ordered! Love that it will open the hood higher than standard. I never would have come across these struts had it not been for Tacoma World.

Got mine installed. Easy to do, even for me. I was delayed a couple of days waiting for a rivet gun to arrive. The struts work great! Happy with the initial results so far. Excellent customer service, well-written installation instructions, and good videos really helped a lot.

Was just wondering the same thing... Had my Taco and girl's Outback hoods both open at one point today. I need some of these.

Also- those of you that have installed- Is a rivet gun a necessity? One member mentioned above having to wait for one to arrive. Thanks.

A rivet gun is needed, as are basic mechanics tools and a drill. Here's a new installation video from Faye Hadley that shows the installation process and the tools you'll need :

these seem better than the other brand (I forget if their name is Redline Tuning)
because these claim to offer higher opening height inches

However, would that interfere if you mount ditch lights? Using those hood bracket things
I'm wondering if you have it at a higher opening height (making the engine easier to work on)
if it would smack your ditch lights/brackets into the windshield when you open it, etc.

Ditch lights are not a problem at all. You don't have to set the hood at the max height, you can set it anywhere between stock and up to +8". So with ditch lights (or other challenges), set it just below where the lights would touch the windshield. Here are a couple of examples:

Thank you for the answer. Looks good.
Say the struts wear out at 100k. (normal)
How would one then go about sourcing just replacement units? Given that the fabricated bracket arms would be re-usable.
Are they sold separately or is info available on their model name to source them later on down the road?

If you ever need replacement struts, they are available from us as separate items, so no need to re-purchase the mounting hardware.
