On a truck that does not mater as much as an SUV or sedan
where when the exhaust does not reach the side or back of the vehicle can be where
Hydrocarbons enter vehicle and can kill you or cause you to black out.
Remember that deal with Ford and the police Cruisers (Explorer's) where the cops
were failing asleep at the wheel and crashing, Many complained of headaches after
their shifts were done. All caused by incorrect routing of some wires for the lights
and exhaust fumes were getting in.

But your pick up will be fine. Unless you have a camper shell and sleep back there
with the engine running on a freezing cold night. otherwise good.

    Nice exhaust!

Man, how is your engine bay so clean? You mainly stay on pavement?

I go offroad quite a bit in the summer so thats how mine looks like, doesnt really bother me though.

I love it!, I drilled a hole on bottom for the condensation to drip.

This. I grew-up around Hot Rodders who did all they could to hide exhaust pipes. I hate seeing them so I generally cut them (or if it's a custom system) have it end somewhere under the bed. Been driving my T100 since the mid '90's like that along with my previous 4wd which was a short-wheelbase SUV (on that rig it was a necessity since the stock exhaust interfered with the receiver hitch I installed). I used to wheel reguarlly with the rear window open and never had problems with the exhaust entering the SUV. Saves dragging it over things or backing it into things. My Taco will be getting this mod soon, especially since I've already bent the stock exhaust backing into my driveway.

The only downsides I've noticed is hooking-up a trailer with the engine running sucks because the exhaust is basically right in your face and the guy who does my Smog tests makes me climb under there to put the sniffer in the tailpipe!

For appearance only. I think the exhaust pipe looks like a noodle without one.

I guess a chrome tip on a Tacoma meets the performance requirement I have followed my entire life:

If it ain't fast, chrome it

The list is long but distinguished
Did forget to apply the decal that came with it? If so there's your missing horsepower.

Just for aesthetics. I bought one in chrome. I like it. One quick swipe with a wash mitt and it’s shining again.

One of the first things I have done was cut my exhaust at the turn before the back tire and put a turn down tip. Have a F250 and Titan and done the same thing. I think they all sound better
