Fuel pump recall on the way

Toyota must be doing this regionally. 2019 and same here.

 

I have a 2019 2.7 and got my notice over a year ago. Got it done a few months ago and have never received a second notice . I read on the forum someone posted they got the second notice so I called my dealer. They ordered the pump. 1 day later got a call it was in. Made an appointment for the following week. In and out with 0 issues.

 

It's several pages, but basically, it's the same thing you'll see when you enter your VIN in the link from post 971 above.

 

Mine is going in Thursday for this, 2018. I'm in Atlantic Canada

 

Thanks. I tried that and my VIN number does not show it applying to my truck.

 

Cool! Some of the 2017s were not included in the latest addition to the recall. Hopefully you will dodge the bullet.

 

Just hoping they can fix my problem on Monday. I will let y'all know what they do to fix it.

I got the "second notice" about a month ago.
Emailed the service manager right away and it was replaced about 2 weeks ago, took them about an hour. No difference in how the truck drives/behaves.

The only issue I’ve discovered since the recall is it looks like the techs damaged the cb coax. My SWR went from 1.0 to 4+

 

The price we paid was the cheese gratter grilles.

 

I got the recall notice for my 17 last week.

 

Just had it done on my wife's '18 last week. Pretty painless, except the dealer trying to tell me the front brakes needed replacement, with 5MM of pad left (I swear the guy said 3MM on the phone but paperwork said 5). They also said it needed engine and cabin air filters but I said I would take care of it. Cabin filter was marginal but engine filter looked brand new. This dealership is notorious but closest to my house for warranty/recall work. I get that most dealers print money with service bays but the prices they charge are becoming ludicrous. They quoted $329 for front brake service, turning the rotors only, not replacing. I refused, of course, and checked online and can buy a full front pad AND rotor set, from POWERSTOP for $89.....

 

Well this is the part they replaced this morning, I forgot to ask them what the code was when they checked it.

 

My 2017 isn't on the recall list (yet).

But my wife had her 2015 4runner included and we got it done about a month ago. Pretty painless - dealer just had her truck for the day.

 

Yeah but they have to charge you for labor. You know... to give birth to that B.S.

On an unrelated note, my replacement was done recently but the check engine light came on. Turns out they pinched an o ring which triggered a small evap leak which they fixed today.

And I learned something new. Did you know that cruise control will disable itself if the check engine light is on? Sure enough it works again once they replaced the o ring and the light was reset. This was not something I was aware of before today.

 

Just got my recall notice ,Jan 16, 2021...The local dealer said they cannot order the fuel pump, till they get a recall notice from Toyota ...with your VIN ..number..
Funny thing here..we get the notice before dealers...but dealers can only order base by VIN number they received...they did not have mines..they say wait a few weeks.
I hope my truck don’t stall...

My daughter’s 2019 Tacoma...did the recall fuel pump two months ago..she live Colorado..
I am base in Hawaii..also have a 2019 Tacoma...
