    why under 60lbs? Even an aluminum bumper is going to be around 75-80

    IMO, a lighter bumper will not withstand true offroad impacts. Steel>aluminum>OEM.

    Doubt you will find an aftermarket aluminum under 60lbs and if you do, it's likely will not provide full front end coverage.

    Cuse my brush guard is 60 pounds and it doesn’t hurt my mpg or ride hight

    I don’t plan on taking it in places where I need one, it’s really just for looks and won’t get damaged like my plastic bumper did from rubbing against a guard rail in

    Rubbing against the guardrail will most likely damage and aluminum bumper.

    Yes but u could probably fix it, with the plastic u got to buy a new one

    Not really, aluminum gets brittle the more you bend and shape it. You might be able to pull it out a little bit after that first hit, but you'd be better off learning how to drive better than be worried about trying to bend bumpers back in the shape when you hit things. Imo

    most off-road bumpers weigh around 110 lb. You can get heavier ones but clearly you don't want that lol. If it's not listed on a manufacturer's website, a quick email or message usually gets results. Most manufacturers are pretty friendly and easy to work with.

    I used to have one. I'd guess that it's around 40 lbs, probably a bit less. Worth reaching out to Avid if you want a more accurate figure.

    Well then you may want to keep your "brush guard" then. If you're in it just for the looks you gotta go commit or quit.


    my bare US Offroad winch mount is I believe 70lbs without the winch and around 120 with the winch. Thats as light as I can go before getting a full metal bumper which I honestly wont do for a long time and when I do I'll probably get the big ole ARB bumper

    The ARB one is around 170-180.... It's also the only one (I believe) actually crash tested and designed to work with airbags and such. So they have that going for them.
