I discovered the ultimate joy of having a truck topper. When you get home from camping on Sunday you can just leave all your crap in the bed and deal with it the next day. Perfect.

Same with a garage. I always just park in there and let future randy deal with unpacking.

Same here. I could pull off the garage procrastination move when I had a 2 door JK but the Tacoma won't fit with the motorcycle in there. Now my bike gets a whole big garage all to itself.

It's just too long because I have cabinets in there. My wife and step-daughter were okay with it. At some point I have a plan to move stuff around for the truck to fit. I'll get to it someday. :)

I forgot to add that now my wife has expanded the home gym into the garage space that my truck would occupy. I couldn't put the truck in there at this point even if I wanted to.

I'm pretty territorial about my garage. She can do whatever she wants with the rest of the house but all design decisions related to the garage have to go through me. Or at least that's what she lets me believe.

Same here. Although I have to remind her quite often. When/if we get a shed all her gardening crap is going in there. She's been leasing one of my cabinets since we moved in.

My check engine light came on Saturday at 3pooches (below is the screenshot), and then I noticed on the way home cruise control isn't working. The cruise control light on the dashboard doesn't even turn on when I press the cruise control button on the steering wheel stick. I cleaned the sensor on the front grille in case that was causing it, but to no avail. Anyone had this issue before or have any recommendations?

I'm fairly certain that the cruise control is tied into the other bits. Do you have a way to pull the code from the ECU? I can look it up and do some research.

I don't, what's the easiest way to pull the code?

What if I first disconnect the battery to clear the code and see if the check engine light comes back on? I know it sounds kind of bush league, but part of me wonders if the check engine light came on from being on an incline or something temporary like that.

It'll clear the codes, but the light isn't instantaneous like they used to be. The ECU has to assess that the component has gone outside set parameters a certain number of times before the light will come on. You can definitely try it, but I have doubts it'll work.

Disconnected the battery and cleared the code, then warmed the car up in the driveway and drove it 2 or 3 miles. So far no check engine light and cruise control is working again, but we'll see if it comes back on the next couple times it's driven.
