    Gentlemen..

Brought the work truck and Tunny through the cah’ wash before the mob showed up to get the salt off the underfluffies. The woolwax is doing a good job so far it seems and has stuck through multiple storms and washes..

Ayuh. Ya got the rig i'd run if I needed the V8 and extra space. Love that cab. Love the rack. Love the Wool Wax (got it on my rig, same observations) Love the Michelins (run em on my truck).

    You, my friend, are brilliant.

Don't you be talkin' about my rack!
I freakin love my truck. And the funny looks I get when dudes in other pickups expect a hairy dude to step out behind the tinted windows and my midget ass opens the door and hops out instead. Although I get funny looks anyways usually. The guy behind me at the car wash was giving me the hairy eyeball when I was hanging my body halfway out the window to reach the damned card reader. WHY IS IT TWO FEET OFF THE GROUND!?

learned a bit about my truck yesterday. 600 miles of towing. 300 with 3000 lbs (empty trailer), 300 with 4200 lbs (+ 2 600lb motorcycles)
Lucille has the tow package, with a 6500lb rating. Didn't help that the trailer is a construction trailer not set up properly for motorcycles. This I did not know until the first 300 miles were in the bag. My fault for not asking more probing questions. (can you tell I was married? once....long ago)

I've towed a bit before, but not this kind of weight. 1400 or less. VERY different.

Leaving it in 4 made a world of difference. If I were to do this sort of thing regularly, I'd definitely be risking stock status.

    Air bags
    add a leaf
    replaced/upgraded shocks.

Thankfully this level of load will remain rare, I think. You can see the squat pretty clearly. Motor ran about 2300-2500 RPM keeping the speed at 62. Still impressed. Braking and handling were fine. I think differentials will get serviced at the next warm-ish weekend.

I would consider a weight distribution hitch first. I've only used one a few times on my old T100 and it worked wonders. It took me forever to wrap my head around the physics involved...

Nice to have a purpose built accessory that isn't permanent on the truck
