It wasn't enough to stick on the pavement last night, now its melting anyway. If I did it in the grass, I wouldn't be alive to post any pics, my wife would kill me. :duel:

This is East Texas. I'm not sleeping well because my wife is walking around looking at me kinda funny with a salt shaker in her hand. I'm thinking some sort of Donner Party thing if I'm not careful.

My parents moved down there for a few years after spending 25 years in MN... they became the family taxi service when it snowed (my aunt, uncle, grandparents, and cousins all lived in the same neighborhood)

Now my parents live in FL and get cold when it drops below 80 degrees.

Yep, low 70s and people are wearing jackets and hoodies around here.

Before Christmas my wife and I were at an outdoor shopping mall and it was earlier in the morning when the temp was still in the 40s. Most people were bundled up, but I spotted this one guy walking around in workout shorts and a t-shirt like it was no big deal. My first thought was, "he's obviously not a local." lol

We recently got a outdoor mall by me, me and my wife have no clue what they were thinking when they built it... it 10 degrees out half the year! not to mention they didnt build a system to get rid of the snow there (heated floors, heated courtyard with a drain, nothing) So now in the winter they dont get anyone showing up there because it cold and covered in snow. But yeah, when we have gone there is always a few people walking around in basketball shorts.

Man, every neighborhood got it here except me. :pout:

I was cooking breakfast when the worst of the deluge hit. If you squint you might see two snowflakes in this picture. Two! We're devastated. My flannel house shoes are slightly damp from the experience of having to dig my way out.

That's crazy. I can't imagine building an outdoor mall like that in an area that gets so much snow. Around here the only time the outdoor part is an issue is during heavy rain or when it's 100 degrees and 100% humidity. People are still out shopping though.

The great thing about it in the summer here, we get 100 degrees and 100% humidity too, there is very few good times in this state for a outdoor mall that you might enjoy walking around a heat baked sidewalk carrying bags of discount crocs and shit from the gap.

Summer - hot and humid with mosquitos everywhere
Fall - cold and rainy with mosquitos everywhere
Winter - cold as all hell with wind and snow
Spring - 10 degrees one day and 80 the next with mosquitos everywhere

Glad you were able to make it back inside in time. Sorry to hear about your slippers. Hope you were able to at least save breakfast.
