Thinking about running these on my 2015 taco. Is anybody running them now? Worried about the quality.

Please don't. They'll last a year. Output is dangerous.

I agree with the others. It's easy to get the wow factor by all of these cool looking headlights out there, but the vast majority of them are inferior in light output and quality. I went with OEM and albeit much more expensive, they're definitely worth it.

I’ve been reading that the quality is crap, just wanted a darker headlight to go with that all black look instead of the chrome.

Look into OEM TRD Pro headlights. OEM quality but with a little darker reflector housing.

I went through three sets of them when they first came out. Luckily I purchased a warranty for $6. Man they were so bad. I went with retrofit headlights and love em. IMG_20210109_101504186.jpg

I’ve got custom retrofits from cw custom lighting. Black oem housing, morimoto hid headlights, profile prism demon eyes. Great setup with good cutoff. Only thing with retrofits that have demon eyes or halos is the amount of wiring along with the morimoto bulb setup.

If you are a diy guy and have the patience, buy the retrofit kit from I think retrofit source and use your housings. I watched their video many times just for the knowledge

@snowsk8air2 just bought something like that. Alpha Rex seem higher quality but are more expensive. Personally I'm going with the 100 watt upgrade once I find good condition OEM's that aren't an arm and a leg.

I decided to give them a try, but I kept my oem just in case. I previously had some retrofits that recently gave out on me after 6years. I’m definitely planning on going with some retrofits again in the near future.

I got mine from here. Was right at $500 shipped for brand new OEM. It's still an arm and a leg for them, but a hell of a lot cheaper than going to the dealership and having them put in (They wanted $600 to install one headlight assembly). Granted these are for 12-15, but check them out. Super pleased with the look and performance of them. Can't wait for my upgrade harness and bulbs to get here.

From my research, Spyder brand are some of the best aftermarket you can get as far as quality goes. That’s what I ended up with. I still made sure to seal them with some windshield urethane to be safe prior to installation. Going on almost a year and no signs of moisture buildup, and light output is far better than stock. A "100 watt upgrade" will not overcome poor quality optics.
