Buyer Beware: KTJO 4X4 Driver's Side Grab Handles w/ A Pillars, HUD, and Bowl Lights

I’m getting the shit end of the stick all over this season. Ordered two switches from Caliraised on Christmas night. They arrived today and got the wrong damn switches. Now I’ll probably have to wait another 2 weeks.

Not much of a photographer. lol. Well, about as good at photography as KTJO4x4 is at running a business.

 

But all those little black specs and other marks are legit in the plastic.

 

Hmmm. Most likely since That 70s Show started in 1998 and Chris Farley died in 1997. That would also make more sense instead of two guests.

Yikes. I would say that you would want a part with even colors. It looks like the Gray parts were ran after the Black parts without a good check cycle. I wonder if Toyota of China might have been a lower tier supplier to someone who supplies one of Toyota's Chinese suppliers?

 

I'm all for self deprecation, but I wouldn't be that hard on yourself. Not called for!

 

I'm curious if any one has done a successful warranty/return for a full refund.

yeah, I changed my vote when I got mine. When I received mine, everything came right and install went rather well for me

 

The proper parts, no damage, and a true PnP installation would be my own criteria. A very generous two stars out of five for me on the whole deal.

 

I'm going with about 1 1/4 stars (Star Search style).

Now I have to decide whether I install it to see if I can stomach it, and ultimately ruining my chances of a warranty/return refund. Or sell it to some other poor schmuk with lower standards.

 

Might be screwed either way, as KTJO4x4's warranty policy is only good 1 year from date of purchase.....not date of receipt of item. Since I ordered over a year ago, does that mean I have no return option now?

 

IMHO if you want to return it, I wouldn't do more than hold it up next to the existing parts. Given the poorly plagiarized policies, anything more would damage your chances.

I'd also take detailed pics of the holes to show that you didn't proceed any further.

 

Probably not. I'm in the same boat. But you know, it does seem like a very KTJO-esque thing

I did hold it up to the factory A-pillar. The over all color match and texture is actually good. But that's as far as I'm willing to go at the moment. Was looking at her warranty policies, and nothing in there mentions a refund. Just exchange with shipping on your own damned dime for something that was her fault.
