^ Sweet pic! Doesn't get much better than that!

My insulated gloves work nicely down to about that temp. Now, those Hands? While they certainly look effective, I don't know that I want to ride that badly! Maybe if I was just touring or off-roading. I can always just sit on my bike and make vroom-vroom noises in the garage...

It's a little known fact that most sport/naked bikes do benefit emotionally when they feel they are a true part of the family.

Cold weather not so much. Rain, that can depend on other conditions like time of day, roads I need to travel etc. I do long distance rallies, smaller events similar to the Iron Butt Rally but instead of 11 straight days the ones I enjoy are 8-12 hours or 32 hours in duration so I never know where I might be headed or what the weather might be like and I'm willing and prepared for that. Quality gear and a well set up bike minimize my risks or at least enough to where I still feel comfortable doing it. I run auxiliary lighting and have 6 forward facing lights. I have reflective materials on my saddlebags and top box when I use that. I added reflective stripes to my wheels last time I mounted tires. I have a heated jacket liner and heated glove so cold isn't much of an issue. My g/f and I have com units attached to our helmets so we can talk to each other. They're Bluetooth connected to our cell phones so we can take or make calls if needed.

I'm more comfortable on my bike than I've ever been in any car or truck I've owned.

Close calls? We were hit head on in September 2019 in TN while on vacation by a driver who was not paying attention and made an illegal left turn right into us destroying my bike. With full gear on we were both fortunate to escape with minor injuries. I've hit a deer already on a bike back in 2002. I've likely had more close calls with the miles I ride than many riders will have in a lifetime but for me my love of motorcycles far outweighs any fears. To some it's a hobby for others it's a lifestyle.

    Ride safe brother.

Eh unless it's absolutely pouring down rain frog choker level not really worried about it any more than normal in cold/rain. I ride real defensively when I see someone not paying attention, and like Chuck I have reflective patches added onto the bike and clothing. I don't have any fancy aux lights like his (yet ;) ), but my running light is yellow to add a bit of "other-ness" and increase awareness from the front.

Almost everything out here is 1 or 2 lanes in each direction, I don't have to do much 4 or 6 or whatever lane highways, that helps for sure.

    What year is your F800?

I have them paired with the Denali CANSmart so I can co from them through the turn signal switch and wonder wheel. Also programmed to turn the upper lights off with the turn signal on, modulate in daylight and the strobe function of flash to pass or horn.

It's a 2010, but I've done a lot of work to make it not look like a 2010. Headlight is a fleabay LED model to replace a burnt out halogen reflector and I've wrapped the body panels in white carbon over the original Lava Orange.

This was how it looked originally:

Geez man. I know Tacomas aren't terribly comfortable, but what else have you been driving?!

I think the CANSmart would work with your bike when you decide to add lighting. Not sure if you e looked into them before but it’s a pretty decent set up. You’d have to make some pigtail connectors to run between the lights and the CANSmart though.

I was in a 2003 Ford F-150 4x4 POS edition from 2003 until July 2020. My FJR has Seth Laam custom seats fitted for me and the pillion seat for my g/f. Custom seats make a world of difference. I also enjoy the 42-46 mpg way more than stopping for gas in a truck. The F-150 got 13 average and the Tacoma is a huge improvement at 18-20 most of the time but that 40+ is hard to beat.

I hadn't actually looked at that one before, but it looks real similar to the HEX ezCAN. Someday I'll add in aux lights and go with one of those two. I love that you don't have to add extra buttons on to already crowded handlebars with them.

Wish I had a fancy wonder wheel and TFT dash to go with it like you do though haha my LCD screen looks straight out of 2004.

    Lol. Thats too good
Just under 11 otd actually. Not sure how someone could spend 10k unless they bought every bling part. I have a solid 3k in mine though. Thats buying top notch protection pieces, head, steering stabilizer, and some other crap.

Looks like it does have the bullet proof designs guards, pipe protection, handguards, larger tank.
