P2121 Code after mods?

So as you know I did the Fog Light Anytime and Unifilter mods several days ago and my truck went into limp mode with the CEL and Trac Off lights on. I went home and put everything back to stock and the truck is running fine and all lights are off. Yet, I hooked up a code reader today and this code is showing up. Is this an active code, or is it the one that showed up the other day? I do have a Pedal Commander, but something happened when I was messing with the electrical relays.

 

Just had another member experience this same problem.
Apparently cleaning the ground connections fixed the problem.

Hmmmmm, maybe drawing power from the Batt Charge relay caused this? I double checked the jumpers and they were all connected in the right positions. Someone else has done the mod using the same source for power and hasn't had any issues. This is perplexing, and obviously our trucks are very sensitive to anything that is slightly off-kilter.

 

Is the code actually causing a CEL or is it pending?
If it’s pending, I’d wait an see if it actually sets.

 

I don't think it's pending. The CEL has been out for a couple days now and the truck is running perfectly fine, but this is popping up as a diagnostic trouble code. I can clear it, but I think it may have been an old code from the other day.

I appreciate it. That's what I'll do. I'm just trying to make the connection between the code and the mods that I did the other day. Maybe there isn't a clear one. I'll clear the code, redo one of the mods, and see what happens.

 

Is it possible you had the key on while you were messing with the relay's?

 

I'm almost positive I did not.
