The fit and finish on this handle kinda blows. Large gap between the speaker and the pillar cover. The handle definitely is way off on the angle to get the screws to line up. I had to man handle it pretty hard to get it to line up. Plug-and-pray.

Seems like it’s a solid handle once it’s tightened down. We’ll see how it lasts. Would actually prefer it higher up on the pillar, better eergos for climbing my broke ass in and out.

oh well, not sweating the 165, oh wait, I mean the 170 and change, oh wait... plus the moar ransom too. What a crock of shit. KTJO makes mods like I fuck when I’m drunk. it was a shot in the dark. Lesson learned.

 

The way she has it worded on her sight gives her the ability to outright deny warranty on every single one of the handles that were ordered during the initial pre-order buy in due to the "1 year from purchase" line. Coincidence? Not likely. Then if she tries to push it away from warranty refund on me to just a return refund, I get slapped with the 15% restocking fee for soemthing that is still in the same condition she shipped it in. Which would allow her to make an extra few bucks on it re-selling it for full price. In that case, I'll just knock a few off of it and send it to the FS forums. Not giving her any more money.

If you have gap at the speaker grille, the tab is not in the slot. I had to have the top of the trim swung outboard, under the airbag to get the nose over far enough. The OE trim is like that also.

 

Aw shit. I dun fucked it up!! I’m not taking the bolts all the way out to fix that hopefully.

 

Things don’t fit into holes, you aren’t communicating with your partner, everyone on the internet is complaining about your performance....?

 

I had that same feeling before I pulled it to bend the clip. Looked at it a dozen times before I said fuck it. The gaps were looking like shit.

It depends on the supplier. Some are actually good and won't back door stuff. You need good agreements, agents, and companies to make that happen though.


The biggest issue here is that they probably don't have a Taco to test fit. We know there is some issue with the design. So either they will make bad batches or have to make new molds to correct it.

It's not like ripping off a Pro grille or TRD skid and knowing that the copy is gonna be good.

 

Who else is waiting on the headsup display? I hope that delivery goes better than this one. When it actually happens!
