Any tips for actually sliding the inner cv boot like 1/2-3/4in mines not budging.

Did you install a new boot?

No just trying to slide the boot out and Re-clamp, so the fins don’t touch after 2.5in lift.

Usually the boot mod is done after a boot change. Maybe try lubing up the shaft

I’ve seen that where they leave 1/2 of the previous boot to keep the new one from sliding. I’m trying to get prevent from replacing the boot.

    I’ll try greasing it.

If that doesn’t work maybe some else has an idea. Should be pretty easy to move, just don’t want to tear the boot in the process

I stretched mine when I rebooted the axle, and found the best way was to slowly work it over the channel in the axle from the inside. I had my hand around the shaft (hehe) and inside the boot. The channel is maybe 1/8" deepish, so the boot has to stretch a decent bit. I also seem to remember trying to work it by grabbing the first rib of the boot and rotating while pulling to try and get the lip of the boot out of the channel, so this may be better for you with everything still all together
