Yeah, when they were offering $1000 off if you finance through Toyota financial then that’s a no brainer but I was talking about If they initiate a loan even if it’s not through Toyota financial then that financial institution give them a kickback for initiating that loan. If they know or think your financing then they will be more inclined to give you a better deal because they know they’re making money on the financing end. It may not amount to much if anything but the point is overall the less cards you show them the better. A lot of people think that they’re happy to hear that someone is paying cash when it’s actually the opposite.

Yeah, that’s annoying how some packages/options are locked out of certain regions. Happy to help. Glad it worked out. Congrats!

No finance deals? I got 1.9% 60mo. zero down. Seemed like a deal to me as my local credit union was offering 2.5%.

The dealer tried to add that one on me. They told me it made the brake light pulse and that since they were trading with another dealer to get the mag grey color I wanted and it was already installed at that dealer I would have to pay the $400 for it. I told them to uninstall it - to which they said they would then have to pay a tech to do that and I told them it wasn't my problem. They gave took it off when I threatened to leave over it.

I was fixated on the Tacoma and have switched to the 4Runner. I still prefer the look of the Taco, but the 4R appears to make the most sense for me. How do you like the 4R compared to the Taco? Are the 4R Pro's as difficult to find as the Taco Pro's? Are the pricing challenges the same for the 4R Pro's as the Taco Pro's? Thanks in advance!

Hello guys. Today I just received an offer from a dealer on a 2021 Tacoma SR this is the most basic one I found. Can any of you confirm if the discount is adequate to the truck. Also can you guys confirm if there is better APR than the one listed in the sheet. This is south Florida area. Thanks.

Outside of regional incentives, which are pretty rare, I have found that anywhere from $3 - $4K off MSRP is a pretty good deal for a Toyota. I live in the SE Region and is notorious for being tough to find TRD Pro vehicles, period. Forget trying to Special Order one. I've tried and more than one dealer told me they can't do that. Love Toyota vehicles, dislike Toyota dealerships. Not sure what it is but they are tough to deal with and seem hell-bent on keeping the "old ways" of selling cars. Largest dealer near me doesn't even post pictures of vehicles on their website or give you access to the Window Sticker. Pretty much force you to walk in the door in order to even attempt to make a deal. Both Tacos we have were bought used from a high-volume, no-haggle used dealer here.

$2200 off is probably about right for a base model. Seems I read Toyota holdback is 2% of MSRP so that's probably about what he's making on that deal.

...^^^... It's basically the old style ... "blinking middle brake light" ... that was on vehicles a few years ago ... IIRC - Federal DOT eliminated them as "distracting" to the person viewing them from the rear.

That’s basically 8.5% off MSRP. Not a bad deal. Not a smoking deal. I would however be concerned about those dealer fees and the listed “added equipment.” To me, those listed items are snake oil and not needed at all.

Is it utility package or not? I paid 22,400$ for my SRACLB Utility

Yup many Toyota dealers do that. I have had dealers try to sell me SB, when I wanted LB.

So I made the salesman go OUTside take a picture of truck to s how me LB and picture of window sticker to see what options. If it wasn't 7570, I said buh bye.

It was like pulling teeth - till I got to the midwest.

I bought an Army Green 2021 TRD Off Road DBLB in the bay area (CA) this weekend. I paid the sticker price minus a $500 rebate. $39600. I put a good chunk for down payment and got a rate of 2.04%. The only extras the truck has is the technology package, all weather floor mats, and wheel locks (which I didn't care for).

I was originally looking for a white or cement truck but they were hard to find in close to base configuration. They would either have all the packages and be close to $50k or have a ton of accessories I would throw out like a bed step, door steps, bed extender, and roof rack.

I bought a 2021 TRD Off Road w/Long Bed, my first Tacoma, the last week of December in Dallas, TX area. I find these type of sales price discussions very helpful when buying cars so I wanted add my info. There are deals to be had if you are in the right place at the right time.

The TDLR answer is the dealer sticker price was $48,532 that included a few dealer add-ons. The Distributor SRP was $47,235 which included add-ons like cargo light, blackout package, power tailgate lock and predator tube steps. I ended up paying $39485 (before TTL) for a savings of 18.6% off of the dealer sticker price.

The long story, condensed version is... I only had 2 requirements in my Tacoma: the TRD Off Road with a long bed. I didn't care about color (it is Voodoo Blue) and I didn't care about or particularly want to pay for any additional packages or add-ons. I had a price in mind that I wanted to hit. There were only 2 Off Road LB within 50 miles of DFW that I could find online. The Arlington dealership had one so I went to check it out. I was assigned a newbie sales associate who after checking with the sales desk said they didn't have one of those on the lot. So I ended up test driving a short bed version. When he asked if I wanted to buy it I said no because it didn't meet my only 2 requirements. Low and behold... they found an Off Road LB. When I saw the sticker price before test driving, I knew it was quite a bit more than I wanted to pay because it had the Advanced Tech Package, LED lights package and the TRD Premium Off Road Package.

So after 10 hours over 2 days in their dealership, I got that deal. I ultimately paid more than I originally wanted to for my Tacoma but I liked having the leather seats once I sat in it.

This is my first truck and so far I love it.

    Hey guys,

New to the forum. I recently put a $500 deposit down for a 2021 Tacoma ORLB here in salt lake, Utah on December 2nd. Today i found out that the truck isn't going to be here till feb 17th (2.5 months of waiting) I've attached the invoice the dealership sent me. They are giving me another $500 for accessories because of the 2.5 months wait. I wanted to see if i'm getting a good deal or not. Thanks for all your help!!!!!

I dont think I ever tell dealer on the best cash price. I work out the price on the vehicle first then throw at them the cash or financing. Typically, you get better deal on financing cause they make $$ in financing. Just need to make sure the financing can be paid off early with no penalties. But congratulations on your new vehicle!!

Yeah the TRD Pro with the options I had came in at 46,447 MSRP (insiginifcantly higher) but the reason I went with the off-road is because I could get a deal on it. None of the dealerships I spoke with gave deals on TRD Pros - all sold for MSRP or like $500 off msrp. The best deal I got quoted was 52k and some change out the door.
